    1. Lost a very close decision
    2. Stunk the gaff out and bored everyone senseless
    3. Looks a vile fight for anyone in division

He has 0 appeal to fans and absolutely no appeal to fight.

As a night for his career this was a disaster?

I didn’t find it that dull but yeah, no fans so no one standing up for him and saying there should be a rematch. If there was justice in the world he’d get one though.

Guess he’ll have to work his way into a mandatory position again.

I found it quite interesting to watch, but I think we are in a niche few. I know for a fact my old man would have switched over fairly early doors.

Shouldn't be a rematch, he made no effort to actually win the belt

I disagree, he fougt well on the outside and only held so much because he was fighting a pressure fighter like Warrington, other fighters don`t put that kind of pressure on, I feel he has the ability to beat anyone else in the division, but might end up as a nearly man like Herol Graham who himself mainly ran away from mike McCallum in one of his title challenges.

I also thought he was smart with his tying up, Warrington was happy with the occasional cuddle too when he was caught with a crisp counter.

Frampton couldn’t nullify Warrington, Galahad did.

Dont see why Barry is copping all the flak. Yes he could have done more, a lot more. But the cleaner stuff was all done by him. Warrington threw plenty but missed with most and looked poor (more to do with Galahad neutralising him than lack of ability). His stock was high before teh fight, but i think now all the other beltholders beat him. Hes fortunate he has a sizeable Lids football fanbase behind him

    Your missing my point.

Warrington is in good fights, this was not exciting. So from a fan/promoters point of view, not much interest.

From a name wanting to fight him, he looked really difficult and a huge risk. So most people won't go near him.

So he had very good tactics, didn't get the decision and made himself a very unappealing proposition for fans and opponents.

Conducted himself very well before and after.
A career high purse for him and most people thought he won.
A disaster would have been looking like Carl Frampton.

    Purse fair enough.

But he would have attracted no new fans, and put everyone off fighting him.

Frampton gave up his European when Barry became mandatory.
Nobody ever wanted to fight him. Nothing's changed, except Barry's bank balance.

Pretty sure his record has changed with a 1 in the L column. He’s always going to be competitive he’s an awkward fighter but the way he talks himself up is nonsense. He had his chance and couldn’t do the business, he’s 29 he’s no spring chicken he needed to win convincingly but as awkward as he is he gets hit clean too much to fight the way he does and doesn’t have the pop to do damage at the top level. If he was ever going to be as good as he thinks he is we would have seen it last night. On a positive note at least he will have some money now for his next course of clembutarol

It must be obvious to everyone that excessive & constant holding, isnt something anyone wants to see. Okolipus is practically ruined as a elite level boxer now, thanks to stinking the joint out against Chamberlain and Askins.

You could argue that the referee should have deducted point from him for it, and this would have forced him to stop holding constantly when Josh got to the inside. But he just let it go, and the whole fight was a stop and start stinker as a result.

To be fair, his career hasnt ever looked like going anywhere anyway.

He could possibly attempt to break the Saudi Arabian boxthing market where his tactics and skthill may be more appreciated.
