Vitali's a top 15 HW in my view. He's on or around the same level as Bowe and actually got in the ring with Lennox Lewis as a pro.
It's very possible Vitali can win a tough distance fight, provided he's not cut badly. As we'll never actually know, it's probably a bout that could have gone either way.

Bowe was a good fighter with a sound engine and had heart but he liked to brawl, took too many punches and could be knocked down. The most that VK was shook was from Corrie Sanders, r.i.p, in the early going of their fight.
Vitali had a better chin and as his career went on in world class, improved his ring craft.
60-40 Vitali the favorite.

Prime Bowe was better than the flat and slow version of Lewis that beat Vitali. Thats all the evidence you need to know that Bowe would win.
