Not only did he run away, he's been praised and rewarded for ducking the rematch. Someone like Wilder, gets dog abuse for not fighting fighters who can't fight due to getting banned for failing drug tests.
Fury's spent most of his career being dismissed and ignored. He fought most of his fights on crap TV stations for crap money in front of crap crowds. Almost no one expected him to beat Wlad. And almost no expected him to comeback and go 12 rounds with Wilder (a decision almost everyone apart from you believe he deserved). He's spent most of his fame in the UK being hated by the media here, hated by his own country, while other fighters have been endorsed and lauded as heroes. So these levels of hype and undeserved praise his whole career" don't even exist.
He already beat them, so that's what the history books say. "Running away" from rematches of fights you already won clearly (or were the aggrieved party in a 'draw' robbery) is really a very weak detail to be criticised for, if we're analysing actual ability and actual achievement.
He was hated because he was attacking homosexuals, and we know how much control and influence they have in the media. Had he not been stupid enough to do that from he wouldn't have become a media hate figure in the first place. Had Joshua been shooting his mouth off about homosexuals and talking as if he was a world champion before he had even done anything of note, he'd have also become a public hate figure. Eubank Jr, is a prime example of this. As for the fight with Wilder, I will see if I can dig and find my prediction, since the fight played out precisely how I predicted it would go besides the end result being a draw. In it I stated fury would get knocked down and it would seem as if he would not rise back up, yet he would and then would finish the 12 rounds and be praised for effort. Lastly I'm not the only one who had Wilder winning, one of the judges, I think the British one, had Wilder winning the fight and there are other posters who are not swayed by pawing slaps and showboating who believe Wilder did enough to win. A challenge has to do far more than slip punches, and rise back up to their feet, in order to win a fight against the champ on the scorecards. I highly doubt that had Joshua or Wilder been knocked down twice as challengers and struggling to do anything of note during 12 rounds, would anyone be stating that they clearly won the fight, irrespective who they fought.
I do somewhat agree, and I'm a fan of fury and think he's the most talented of the bunch, but he (and saunders) get an unbelievable amount of praise and adulation from hardcore fans. I don't want to see any more mismatches from Fury, it has to be top 10 opponents fight in fight out now, once he starts running through them on a regular basis then, ok go nuts with the praise
Well Fury is the first fighter in the history of the sport that I've seen claim robbery and yet do his utmost to escape a rematch to set record straight.
He was asking for reasons for genuine disdain of Joshua and implying their wasn't any other than racism. I'm not sure how your question has any relevance to this.
There’s a new king in town, all hail the gypsy king. Has anyone set up a crowd funding page for big tonyhayers’ therapy?
Fury Homophobic? Are you applying this logic to any religious boxers? Khan is Muslim is he homophobic? Most religions are anti-homosexual/lgbt Typical left logic, it's fine for the ones you like but tar the boxers/people you don't like with it and label them, try to ruin them Disgusting
