Any version of Lewis would have destroyed Bowe. Lewis was better than Bowe even before they went pro. Fact is Bowe had a chance to fight Lewis and instead dumped his belt into the trashcan rather than face Lennox
Golota really malleted him, there's no doubt about it. He then went on to lose to Adamek, who lost to Vitali ...
Actually, when you think about it Golota is another example of a rematch a boxer should never have taken. Joshua, take note.
Well Bowe had the excuse that he hadn't taken Golota seriously and had undertrained. Then in the rematch, when he got tattood even worse, he said that he'd overtrained Ol' Bowe
can't say I have any sympathy, two time wife beater and jail bird. Those wives should have gave Andy G a call.
The Bowe that beat Holyfield would whoop any version of Vitali. The Holyfield Bowe faced would beat him too. Vitali never beat anyone close that level.
Mostly resume. I agree head to head he is a beast, but it is impossible to look a the heavyweight division in that respect. Of course Vitali is going to beat all of the 175 pound fighters from the turn of the century, maybe all of them in one day.
Vitali was smarter and more dependable. Bowe was slicker and versatile, but more erratic. My money would be on Vitali to have a better game plan, and to show up in better condition.
