Tito is my favorite fighter of all time. He had no business at 160lbs and his power did not move up with him. I think Lemieux beats him. Tito what at his best at 154lbs.
I cant think of a single time I rooted for Tito, but it can't be denied that he was an exceptional fighter with great timing, extremely hard puncher, and very good offensive skills. This is a man who destroyed an excellent boxer in Vargas, destroyed a titanium chin bralwer in Mayorga, and would capitalize on any mistake his opponents made. ODLH was considered a brawler and then boxer puncher, but against Tito he went full boxer, for a reason. David Lemiuex is a B level fighter, very ome dimensional, a one trick pony. DL does not have the defense to keep Tito off that chin.
This is a difficult one for me. I love Tito but he wasn't all that hard to hit and he was down many times early in his career. Some will say they were balance issues but you really can't take many chances getting hit flush by Lemieux. Lemieux isn't all that skilled but his power is for real. For me, I don't know who wins. I think if Trinidad got past the 4th or 5th round he'd probably stop Lemieux late in the fight. But I do believe Lemieux had the power to clip Trinidad early. Toss-up for me and would have been a great fight.
Tito lost a lot of power when he moved to 160lbs. DL has more than enough power to hurt Tito and I believe he would be able to deal with Titos power or lack their of at that weight. DL probably stops him at some point. Best case is Tito out boxes him and wins a decision.
