Who takes this and why? Liston of mid - late 50s vs Fury.

I've go Liston breaking him down within 5-7 rounds.

It would be like Ali v Liston except Fury has a longer reach than Ali did, at times it would be like Wilder v Fury except Wilder was quicker and harder to hit without being countered because of his height, Liston never fought anyone even near Fury`s height and never met anyone with an 85 inch reach, Liston couldn`t cut the ring off on Ali, he didn`t move his feet correctly to enable him to dpo this.

Can't see why Tyson Fury can't win this . He's all the physical advantage s , he's got a style of his own to confuse Liston ,he's proven he can get up from a Savage kd .In fact I'd say Liston may have his work cut out for him here .

Liston late KO. Though I gotta say Fury's been really impressing me as of late.

Precisely how I see it,Fergie. Fury would be very tricky for Liston.

In a 3 fight series, neither goes 3-0.

The big strike against Sonny is/was that corner of his to prepare for a style like Fury's. I am convinced at least 1 or 2 of the times he does not prepare at all and is confused in the ring and will not solve that style. And that corner is zero help. One of the great trainers from back then would help an absolute ton in this match.

As for Fury, at least one time Sonny follows up a stiff jab and the ballgame is over.

Fury by decision. Fury has huge advantages, is deceptively clever and can survive a wicked punch. Fury all the way!

I feel Fury is the true champ right now. He will go down as an ATG eventually but Liston is a beast and arguably top five ever. Have to give the edge to Liston at the moment. He wouldn’t be nearly as inactive as Wilder was and hit just as hard. But Fury needs to clean the division first to get a better idea of how he would do imo.

I know he was coming off a long layoff and had his fair share off problems, but I wasn't impressed with the Fury slap jab he was offering up and even less impressed with him on his back looking up at the lights twice.... I was impressed with his movement especially for a man with his size... But that was against Wilder who looked , well I wont say you already know. If Fury is going to hold back against Wilder like he did, well that isn't the way to beat Liston … Liston KTFO both these guys ,,,,, they are not even in the same league

Because Fury has fought tons of heavyweights with the jab and power of Liston right?
First time Liston cracks him good with tjat jab Fury is going to run. And then get busted up.

I agree Stevie..and there's one area that Fury's superior in and that's heart.
