yeah, if he was really good, he could be on his toes AND hit hard, like really talented fighters can.

Wilder's personal bogeyman Ortizn't couldn't touch Hammer either, and Ortiz if FULL of peds.....

Fury can bang, he's just on the back foot alot.

No other HW right now can do what Fury does and no one has kept him down either

No other HW can move like Fury, hitting hard or not, so in my humble opinion, he is "good"...
I dont consider boxing a punching competition personally, but each to their own respectfully

If Fury could "hit hard", he'd be miles ahead of all competition at HW right now and exceptionally talented

Fury really doesn't hit that hard. His punch placement and timing is what does the damage for him. It's going to be hard to be a defensive wizard AND a power puncher at the same time, because generating true power requires planted feet.

Fury has underrated power. He has some weight behind his hands but chose to throw on the fly instead. I would rate his power as natural at his weight - which is good for todays era.

You walk into a 260 pound man's jab it will fck you up.

Schwarz didn't know what hit him.

Wlad knew if he tried to fight Fury he would have got KO'd which is why he didn't do anything but look for 1 punch the whole fight.

Because he was in 60% shape?

John Fury didn't want the fight to happen because Tyson was so drained from the weight loss over that 1 year.

This is also true. The sheer size of these guys is going to ensure that any relatively flush shot will have thudding power behind it. Fury's KO record is actually fairly good despite him not really throwing punches for power. It's sort of like Vitali's much-derided "arm punches" that actually ended up putting people in the hospital despite his technique not being optimal to generate power. Size is a quality of its own.

That's why Schwarz was still standing after Fury threw everything at him.

If Fury had any serious power Tom would have been knocked out properly.

As it was Fury couldn't even floor a layman properly.

Had Joshua or Wilder dragged a man off the street into the ring and hit them with all their best punches, that individual would be in an urn right now.

yep, and if my aunt had balls....
you say this as if guys are just training everywhere to move like him. some guys actually come to fight, they dont want to move like fury, they want to fight. youve seen spence, crawford, loma, etc... make fury look like hes on 1 leg, and yet they have no problem throwing more than 10 punches, even when theyre facing a mannequin. fury moves great "for a big man", means squat. plenty of big men have moved great for any man, not just heavies.

Maybe there should be a punchers forum then, alongside a movers forum....

then we can all just forget about boxing altogether....

    geez.. this place nowadays.

maybe we should just stop discussing boxing altogether. we will just stick to swinging off our favorite fighters nuts, because guys like you are too delicate to be listening to anything that isnt a full swallow, balls included.
