I'm sick of this bs rumor started by Trinidad haters. Trinidad wrapped his hands differently than what was allowed in NYC. He could of wrapped his hands the same exact way ANYWHERE else but not in NYC, and was simply asked to rewrap his hands during the Hopkins bout. Oscar DLH did the SAME exact thing in his fight with Manny Pacquaio, who knows how long that's been going on with him, but I've never heard anybody else call him out for his handwraps. Hopkins and Wright are ATG 154 and 160 fighters with titanium chins, nobody ever really hurt them during their long careers, they never even got stopped except for Hopkins in his last fight when he was 77 years old at LHW.

If you agree that Tito can beat a 1 dimensional guy like Lemmy then what point are you trying to make to me except random and misguided hate?

Can't believe people are picking David Lemieux, especially when he's known to gas himself out and walks forward all night throwing telegraphed punches. He literally just walks forward throwing hooks, he's gonna be doing that against someone who's taller and with a longer reach in Tito ****ing Trinidad...If there's a worse stylistic match up than this then I'd like to hear it, this fight would be extremely one sided and brutal, I actually fear for Lemmy's health.

    sorry but completely false.

DLH had box tape threaded between his knuckles, essentially making one hard ridge of knuckle.

Trinidad had tape directly applied to his skin....rolls upon rolls upon rolls of it. 4x the limit according to Nazim and the commission. Then they dipped the hands in ice water to weigh them down.

NYC? Bro , he fought his WHOLE CAREER in NYC! DLH was the Vegas fighter....
Nobody believes he didn't know the rules in NYC.

What he was doing was vastly more dangerous than Margarito.

And yes, the power disappeared after Hopkins. He couldn't budge Hop or Winky.

First of all, where are you getting your info from? Where are the sources? You completely made all of this up then try to present it as fact lol? Trinidad fought THREE, that's right THREE fights in NYC before his fight with Hopkins in Joppy, Troy Walters and Pernell Whitaker, wtf are you talking about? You saying the way Trinidad had his hand wrapped is worse than Margarito is probably the dumbest thing I've ever read on this forum. This is a direct comment from Nazim Richardson himself

Richardson found himself in the middle of a controversy prior to that fight when he noticed that the technique which Trinidad's father and trainer, Don Felix, used to wrap his hands was not in accordance with the rules of the New York State Athletic Commission. Though ultimately Trinidad was required to re-wrap his hands, Richardson clarified that at the time, the technique was still legal in several other states.

"If they said we were fighting him in New York, okay then, y'all have an argument, but they weren't talking about his hand wraps when they made the fight. So by them not making it an issue, because they fought him in New York too, he knocked you out, you gotta live with it," he explained. "See, the way Margarito was getting his hands wrapped, that **** was illegal in MMA and every other sport and in every state. I can see if William [Joppy] was making that argument about Margarito, but with Tito, he just tried to wrap his hands...it could be an honest mistake."

Richardson added, "The Tito thing I think was more of ignorance. It was the fact that they were used to wrapping his hands like that all the time and most of the places you fight, like Vegas and everything, it's cool to wrap like that. So when they came to New York, they didn't think nothing of it. They just wrapped his hands the way they always wrap his hands. Well, we working by and abiding by the rules of New York, so I argued the case. But it ain't like the Margarito thing where he was blatantly trying to pull one off. One was ignorance and one was illegal."

Still laughing at your ignorant post, this is why some dumb people still believe in this hand wrapping controversy.
