So i'm from midlands have not done boxing before.
I only found one person to spar as i have always wanted to but to nervous to go to a gym full of boxers
    Me being 180lbs 6ft 4
    Them supposedly 230lbs 6ft

Wearing headgear and 10oz gloves would i be likley to be no where near, being that we are both supposedly new to boxing?

You need to join an amateur boxing club, the trainers there after a few months will assess you and probably put you in with someone of similar ability.

The only people they usually throw in 1st time to teach them a lesson are the ones who show up giving it the big’un or the pikeys so they don’t come back, although my trainer would always send us on a big run with lamppost sprints why usually put them off coming again

Also they sometimes do body only sparring which is much less scary I think for 1st timers

    Good luck and enjoy!

I'd be a lot more nervous about sparring with a random person when I've never boxed before, than going to a well-run boxing gym and learning the fundamentals and gradually building up confidence through light sparring with people of similar experience and ability.

Tony Hayers will let you pull his mickey while he repeats the words "Tyson Fury, boring and unpopular" if that's any use?

Two new people sparring with 10 oz gloves is an awful idea and quite reckless. You should both do a couple of months of drills and the like before sparring, even if it's light IMO. That's a big weight disparity too.

If we lived closer I’d spar you. I’m only slightly heavier than you and same height. I used to do a lot of training and sparring but never competed. This was over ten years ago and I’m out of shape so I’d definitely have regressed to a beginner standard now haha.

As people have commented though, you’re best joining a gym where it’s safe and people can actually train you properly.

A person can learn a lot from teaching. I am sure there is a few tough kids in your area that would benefit from your example. There are church groups, foster kids, kids in children's homes, and orphan. Your weight, and height is a far cry from being a good match.
I think you would make a much better teacher than you would a boxer!
