Interesting development i’ve been hearing is that Joshua could potentially leave Hearn. Joshua is reportedly going to use 258 Management (his own promotional vehicle) as his lead promotional company with Freddie Cunningham (his current manager) taking over promotional responsibilities.

Joshua’s contract with Matchroom which was renewed last year was a five fight deal. After Povetkin and Ruiz, he has three fights remaining and could potentially buy himself out of the contract similar to the Top Rank/Mayweather Buyout. The interesting aspect is whether Joshua will stick with Matchroom for the Ruiz rematch or leave before it.

Joshua has a direct contract with Sky Sports Box Office so his UK TV Rights are not a issue. Maybe this is the right move for Joshua, a fresh start, Hearn messed up the Wilder situation and forced into the DAZN/American Route which has now backfired.

I’d also like to clarify, these are just rumours, but they are reliable sources.

Joshua is at a make or break point of his career I doubt he’s thinking about buying himself out his contract when another loss might dry up his incoming revenue dramatically and also add the extra pressure of starting up your own promotional company whilst such a high stakes rematch is coming

Hard to understand what the benefits would be given how much Joshua makes. I mean, he earned $55m last year, making him the second top earner in boxing, the richest UK athlete, and the thirteenth highest earner in the world. There must be some massive reasons for walking away from that.

Hearn has done an unbelievable job for him - like him or not. He is 'arguably' the second biggest star in the sport behind Canelo and one of the top earning athletes in the world. Hearn done what he had to do, it was AJ that didn't keep is part of the bargain.

I think deep down AJ knows he isn't as clever as he perceives himself to be. I think he would know better than going it alone at a time in his career when he needs tunnel vision and to worry about nothing else than them 12 rounds in the ring.

Of course he's going to go his own way. Just as McCracken is getting the boot and there will be no November rematch, as I've been saying all along. Some of you lot are either kids or just very easily persuaded.

There's no actual proof he's taking the rematch yet folks, only MR PR, yet we have video evidence of Joshua saying he wants easy fights. Stop believing PR and read between the lines a bit.

It's called a conflict of interest. Believe it or not, in the real business world as opposed to one inside your head, it happens.

If I was him I’d at least finish off the deal with those 3 fights, Ruiz, pulev, and then depending on where fury, wilder, Whyte are then one of those

I don’t know about these rumours and can’t be arsed speculating. What I will say though is that Joshua doesn’t need Hearn. Not hard to promote himself. If Joshua KOs Ruiz and gets his belt back does he need Hearn to get a deal with DAZN? No he can boot that Essex ***** to the side and make a deal himself. He’s a mega star already, Hearn has served his purpose.
