Amir Khan occupies such a bizarre place in boxing.

He gets paid a lot of money to get knocked out. Everyone knows that at elite level he is 100% certain to get knocked out and that apart from fast hands he is really not that good a fighter.

He goes into these fights knowing himself that he will get knocked out. Some would say he is brave but I bet there any fighter would go in the ring for $5M knowing he would get knocked out.

What is he exactly? Elite Bum? I wouldn’t even call him a gatekeeper really. He might be Yardstick of sorts as in “who can knock him out the quickest”

I don’t understand how we got himself into this position of why anyone ever has any interest in his fights when the outcome is always so certain.

he has fans that will forgive anything, always hoping for the best, and quick to make excuses when the best never happens.

“Elite bum”. I like that. Interesting new category.

He is a one trick pony, and it got him so far. The one trick works to a point but he got found out. He never had a boxing brain, a terrible glass jaw and his only skill was to rush in with a one, two, three, four then run back again. He was kinda fast doing so but it wasn't nearly enough to compete at the top level. No power, no real KOs just loads of slappy stoppages with refs on his side. He got as far as he did through being a politically correct poster boy in my opinion. He is yet to rematch Prescott who knocked him out cold and McCloskey who was also coming on strong until being prematurely stopped. He was found out at the top level. He is now a journeyman, he should be remembered as just another fighter really, nothing notable about him at all.

I feel like his mistake was dropping roach. With the chin he has Roach got him further than he should have gone. His speed is all he has and under roach he would jump in and out with combos and his speed would help him beat lower level boxers like this. Hunter kept talking about making him a better boxer but that never worked. Can’t understand why he left Roach unless in his head he thought he could beat pac and floyd

He was deluded, he never accepted any of his losses were his own fault. It was always his trainer, Ramadan, the mysterious man with the hat in the Peterson fight, Roach's Parkinsons. Etc etc etc...

Why don't you chill with your King Khan hate topic ? Cool your jets . Amir was hit in the fricken testicals in his last fight, and while he was taking his 5 minutes his trainer decided to call it off, you call that getting knocked out ?

The supposed P4P #1 Bud Crawford gets praised for winning via low blow against a supposed glass chinned Khan who was tagging Bud with big shots moments before he was hit in the nuts.

The disrespect showed towards Khan is unforgivable . King Khan is an absolute warrior and is one of the most skilled and entertaining fighters in boxing. Khan haterz like the OP need to check themselves and be held accountable for their lack of appreciation and respect for King Khan.

As much as I personally wish he didn't, he did beat a prime Marcos Maidana. (I also fancy that fight was a 1 point margin win for Khan, created by Joe Cortez's sensitive ego.)

Khan's testicles are on his upper-right thigh?

Didn't think I'd be the one to do it, but it's time Khan got some respect for what he's won...

His wins resume has Kotelnik, Malignaggi, Alexander, Maidana, Judah, Algieri, and Collazo.

I thought he got jobbed vs Peterson, but even discounting that, that ain't bad.

I do agree that hes shortchanged his image by taking these fights he's bound to get knocked out in, but underneath that crapshow, he's turned in genuine world class wins and performances

you need to grow out of this little phase youre in, where what you choose to argue is based on your feelings towards canelo. it is unbecoming of a male to behave this way.

Hey don't shoot the messenger, I'm just quoting a statement made by his trainer Virgil Hunter. He very clearly stated that Khan was hit in the testicles. Now I'm not gonna sit here and try to visualize where Khan's balls were hanging when he was brutally and illegally low blowed . Regardless of where Khan's balls were at the moment his trunks were hit, he was fouled and certainly his balls were in the vicinity. Calling that a knockout is an absolute abomination. Even worse some have called Khan a quitter and don't think he deserves a rematch after being 'stopped' by getting hit in the nuts. What a fricken scandal that was.

All of them were either overrated, finished or tailor made for him. Except for Maidana who was still green but arguably beat him anyway.

The pic clearly shows the punch was nowhere near the testicles and Khan was just looking for a way out. It was a knockout in the sense that Khan quit for no good reason.

Excuse you, you got your head so far up your arse trying to relate stuff to Canelo that has nothing to do with him. Best you run along and leave the boxing talk to serious posters that don't have Canelo envy derangement syndrome like yourself.
