Good move if true. The cynic might say the DAZN money is too good to turn down...

It’s probably a factor. He loses this and the big paydays will be few and far between.

If it is MSG & Joshua s favoured choice, then that bodes well. I expect a fully focused Joshua to avenge that defeat, then finally step up to the plate against Wilder or Fury. A loss can really focus the mind as to what is really important, and if Joshua wants to create a legacy - he needs to fight the top two & soon ... times running out.

Massive Massive Fight, MSG is iconic venue would be the best way to avenge the defeat.

DAZN call the shots it seems.

Makes more sense being in the states anyway. Welcome to the champ's backyard baybayyyy

Fair play to AJ for taking it there. If the panic attack rumours were true he will need a defibrillator before the rematch.

The best place for a.j to have it, is over here imo, that's if he wants to increase his chances of winning back the belts.
It's honorouable that a.j wants it at msg but s9metimes the fighters need their managers/promoters to make a more sens8ble decision.
A.j fought the challenger ruiz in his own town ,now imo it's ok for a.j to do the same and as the challenger, fight the champ, in the challengers home town

DAZN have the deepest pockets, the fight was always going to be in the States.

Unless, AJ and Hearn agreed to a lower purse for home advantage.

Doesnt sound like a Hearn move this. If this rematch does take place and it is in MSG, then props to Joshua for taking it on. Could make arguments for other people making the decisions on his behalf, but im happy to believe the fighter himself has called it. Good luck to him if true. A win could be his Lennox Lewis moment of avenging losses. Will only add to his legacy .

I think its a bonus AJ is willing to go back
Hearn can then try and paper over the fact DAZN run the show and they call the shots

Good on AJ for being willing to go back and give up the home advantage though
He doesnt have to but is willing to try to right a wrong
    In his eyes anyway

Personally i dont think him taking it in the UK is an issue although some have commented as such

The fight would generate far more in the UK.

DAZN must be putting up serious cash.

If it was me I’d definitely want to go back to the winners back yard and get revenge. Ok AJ could have it in Cardiff and be in his comfort zone and jab to a boring win for 12 rounds but AJ just isn’t that kinda guy

Could potentially backfire though which makes he rematch more intriguing and sells more because of it.

I also believe there is a bit behind closed doors where Ruiz team is probably demanding a lot more to come over to the uk

You would of thought Eddie would of had the rematch and it's particulars set in stone.
I would of thought that Eddie had l, that it's MR decision where the rematch is and that ruiz because he signed the initial contract, has no say in that at all.
