    That’s a very intelligent reply.

You think if Eddie tries to market Usyk in the UK he’s not going to want his fights to be there?

You believe he was a major star before WBSS (he’s not even that after, actually). WBSS did a division where there was no one making any real money and put some cash behind it so the top guys flocked there to get what is basically undercard money if they won the whole thing.

You think he could sell a single PPV buy in any country in the world as the A side? Heck, he needed the popular Bellew to market his only fight to date that anyone paid even the list bit of attention to.

Not true canelo is their face and their cash cow he has more pull than you think. If canelo wants the fight in vegas it will be there not only that the fight makes the most money there.

No, its all about the money and not what either fighter is demanding. If Vegas makes the most sense financially then it will be in Vegas. Both guys are getting paid regardless of where they fight. Dazn is now in the bussiness of recouping that money. Not pampering the fighter. Once the contract is sign they have them both by the balls.

Canelo was losing the late rounds handily. Golovkin lost no rounds wide against Jacobs.

    Did Canelo knock Jacobs down?

    No.

But he did drain his ass with the usual CLENelo weight games while GGG had to face the LHW version of Jacobs :deal:

I'm bored of the whole thing, GGG needs to realize Canelo won the fight officially no matter how he or his fans saw it. He has the belts and is the bigger star, point blank, period. G has no legs to stand on demanding anything at this point. A 3rd fight should be good and all, but all the preemptive whining is terrible. If DAZN can force the fight why didn't they force GGG to fight a better opponent than Rolls?

    This raises two questions.
    1. What does “a lot” mean to you?
    2. What does the word “fact” mean to you?
Both are possible HOF thread titles, along with the one about word “floored”.

While I understand and kind of agree with the later part of your post, it’s obvious that we watch boxing for different reasons so i’ll just leave it at that.

A lot of people on boxing forums have seen him but my guess would be probably not the majority. And we are a very small percentage of the boxing audience.

More people watch fights on TV than all the streaming platforms combined. My dad, a good longtime friend and my former boss are true fight fans — they watch basically every major and many minor TV cards. Each of them will order a PPV from time to time. All have paid to go to live fights, local club shows and world championships. In fact all three have traveled considerable distance to do so from time to time.

I don’t consider that level of interest and dedication to be casual. They are real true fight fans.

I’d say only one of the three at most has even heard of Usyk. I’m certain none have actually seen him.

Just being P4P material doesn’t make a fighter well known or a draw.

So my definition of a lot is relative to the boxing audience, and that doesn’t include casuals who only see things like Wilder’s latest knockout on Twitter or know that a fat guy knocked out AJ.

I’d say it’s 100 percent fact that a lot of people who are true boxing fans have never heard of, much less seen, Usyk.

As for why I watch boxing, I love the sport. I’ve been to seven world heavyweight title fights live and probably two dozen other title fights. And countless cards at all levels over the decades. But I don’t have time to see everyone and everything. To me, WBSS wasn’t easily accessible and even if it was I probably would have skipped it — for me, that’s an event that whoever wins it after that I’ll keep my eyes on them. It weeds out the ones I don’t need to keep up with.
