Say everything happened the same way except AJ got back up Rd 7 and finished the fight standing and did better the rest of the rounds. The judges score majority decision for AJ because you know, DAZN paid judges. What would AJ's reputation be today? Would there still be a rematch?
Well before the 7th paulie had Joshua 2 up an think it was macklin? 1 point up. So 7th happens . Paulie has him 5 up. Macklin 4. He wins the next 5 10-9 by jab an grab. A close win wouldn’t be out the question.... I think Joshua would get the win an a rematch in uk
Well, just look at Canelo....he seems to be doing just fine. AJ has a lot of problems after his loss to Ruiz, the biggest being that he is perceived to have quit. Being labeled as a quitter hurts your legacy far worse than winning a gift decision
Fury and Wilder would get bolder in their trash talking and people would be talking about AJ's flaws but I'm sure it would just motivate AJ to train harder. Really hyped for the second fight because you will get better answers then.
