What I don’t get is that usually the week running up to a fight is just a ticking over week with pad work and fine tuning, the sparring is over with. So what happened? Did AJ stupidly spar a day or so before the Ruiz fight? Or did he stop a week before but still had concussion a week later??? Sounds like AJ wanted to avenge getting sparked out in sparring rather than fight Ruiz, definitely looked a broken man in there that night

The dressing room delay before AJ's ring walk wasn't because of a 'dodgy groin guard' as Eddie Hearn said, but AJ was feeling concussed and dizzy in the dressing room. Robert Joshua (AJ's Dad) wanted the bout to be called of there and then, Hearn was having none of it, real reason why Robert was getting angry at Hearn post-fight.

He wouldn't pass pre-fight checks by the state commission if he was anywhere near concussed/dizzy! You casuals need to understand that there was nothing wrong with him. He simply got found out. Finally fought someone who hit back and who wasn't old, then the stiff robot malfunctioned since it hadn't been programmed to deal with such a problem.
In the old days we would track bull shitters down and disable them leaving them intentionally permanently scarred for life,, but you can’t get away with that no more thanks to the police!!
Is it normal to be sparring the day before a fight? The slightest cut could mean the fight is off. No way you knocked out a heavyweight champ the day before a fight! If so, you must be pretty good. Were you pro? What was your record? What's your ring name?
This is how you know this whole story is BS. NO ONE spars the week of the fight. Unless they are too STUPID to realize the chances of injury are too great to chance it. The last week before the fight is dedicated to recovery, making weight etc...
