Clenelo and it ain't even that close.

Jacobs fought in reverse the whole night and used his size to survive Golovkin. Very negative fight. Even in the first fight (which Clen lost) he at least attempted to hold the center of the ring and alternatively attack and counter.

Clenelo v. Jacobs was very clear who was the better quality fighter. Jacobs was comprehensively outboxed. No wonder Clen gave GGG a harder time.

Fair points, but Jacobs was probably 15lb heavier vs GGG than he was vs Canelo. Put that size Jacobs in with him and see how he handles it. That extra water made all the difference I think.

Did Golovkin struggle against Canelo more because he's a better fighter than Jacobs, or is Canelo a tougher fight for him stylistically?

Jacobs troubled Golovkin with his size, body shots and movement. He also threw punches in bunches and looked flashy. I think GGG not rehydrating to his fullest affected him as well, whereas Jacobs did.

Canelo troubled Golovkin with his defence and speed. Ginger is a very tricky fighter and not a pushover. But by the end of the second fight especially, Golovkin found his second gear and was malletting Canelo. In a way I think GGG and Canelo have a similar style. Canelo is more of a flashy defensive fighter and Golovkin is looking more to put the hurt on the other guy ... but they are both counterpunchers. In that contest Caneo's speed was a significant asset.

In Canelo vs Jacobs, I think the drain affected Jacobs who was much the bigger fighter and wasn't allowed to rehydrate to his fullest extent. I think water games play a bigger role in boxing than people think. Geale looked half dead vs Cotto for example, and so did Canelo vs Floyd.

GGG's toughtest fight was the second fight with Canelo.

GGG's easiest fight was by far the first fight with Canelo.

The fight fight with Jacobs is smack bang in the middle.

This is obviously in reference to these 3 fights alone, so fan-girls, please don't start throwing your knickers alright.

Canelo beat him to a pulp.

His face was banged up, he was likely pissing blood for weeks from the body attack, he ran to his locker room, and he didn't want anything to do for boxing for almost a year.

The only reason people make this point is because of how Canelo fought in the first fight. It's nothing but a vague statement. He fought differently because he clearly lost the first fight. Golovkin didn't need to change anything and he still outlanded Canelo.

Canelo in the rematch gave GGG his toughest fight. At the end of GGG Jacob's everyone was unsure if Jacobs would get the benefit of the doubt, but figured GGG would get the decision.

Please don't mention Canelo Jacobs. Let's forget that fight even happened. It was so disappointing. Jacobs phoned it in. It was more of a staring contest for most of the fight.
