I like Luke, its a pity he's going to get the Crolla treatment, this isn't going to be fun to watch.

Luke ain't no Crolla. It's going to look more like the Pedraza/Linares fight.

Nope, it will be far shorter, Loma has far less issues dismantling southpaws, look at the numbers he did on Rigo and GRJ, who have much better control of range and timing than poor Luke.

Not Loma's fault that the likes of Mikey Garcia and Tank Davis are ducking him.

If Mikey didn't vacate his title and at least try his best to stay in 135, it'd be him who face Loma, not Campbell.

So, the WBC making up the rules as they go along again. Feel bad for Abdullaev and Haney who by the rules of the WBC should have got a shot against Campbell. Lomachenko not even ranked by the WBC, but gets a shot at the title. Effing joke.

Its actually good that they are unifying.
Neither Haney nor Abdullaev have fought a single top 10 opponent. They shouldn't be fighting for a belt anyways. So this unification is a good thing.

Campbell isn’t going to be as much of a walkover as people think. He’s big for the division and has a good pedigree, it won’t be the Crolla fight again.

Campbell is not a bum, he is a great fighter and much much better than Crolla, he had a razor tight decision loss vs Linares where knockdown possibly cost him the win. He avenged his other loss emphatically as well

Campbell was a weight class heavier than Loma before he hooked up with Shane McGuigan, he's at least 2 now after McGuigan has been working on making him a huge lightweight (He'll probably be at least 10lbs heavier than Loma on the night). He's hitting really hard now too, harder than when he dropped Teofimo on his ass in sparring.

The skills and talent were always there but they've been honed by McGuigan as well and being in the same gym as Josh Taylor and sparring against him is going to be very beneficial for him. He already avenged his loss to Mendy and that was his first fight with McGuigan and the loss against Linares was razor-close and the McGuigan trained bigger, stronger and harder hitting Cool Hand Luke likely would've won that one too.

Campbell is a solid fighter and it builds Lomas brand over here like GGG-Brook did for GGG.

Full unification early next year will be amazing

Campbell is one of the best fighters out there not to win a belt. And he is a legitimate top contender at 135.

I think Lucky Luke will give a good account of himself before getting stopped eventually.
