WBC makes Canelo "franchise champion " makes Charlo Full champion Canelo moving up?

Multiple titles is absurd, but I see thethe broader picture here.

Why waste your career defending against B level contenders like Wade or Monroe when he can be fighting more interesting fights.

 

So if I am reading this right Canelo is no longer WBC champion and if for arguments sake Andrade beats him. He is not the unified champ as will only hold a diamond belt??

So stupid. Just need one organisation to not be corrupt, step upand do things the right way and get all promoters and fighters on side.

 

I long for the day when there is a belt awarded to every boxer in the World Top 15.

I fully support this decision all we need now is for an IBF ''super'' title and of course a WBO ''super'' championship.

This is really messed up, this basically gives the WBC belt holders the license to do anything, they have no mandatories, they can probably take as long as they want to defend. The WBC franchise are truly ridiculous for this one, I thought the diamond one was a joke but this takes the **** to a new extent.
