    I’m with @Hattonmad here.

I know he’s got no chin but I’m gona say Khan is one of the biggest wastes of British talent of all time. He’s took his prime years off, pandering about.

They got there shots because they was all in house fighters

If khan had been with top rank or still with haymon that fight would of happened ages ago

He took his time off having hand ops and recovering injuries

But they got shots. And if they got them why should Khan think he shouldn't? Same with Mayweather; he fights Maidana twice, who Khan beat. He fights Ortiz, who was beaten by Maidana, who was beaten by Khan.

Not every fight can be a superfight. Khan wasn't on the Canelo/Cotto level, but he was the equal, if not better, of plenty who Pacquaio and Mayweather fought.

You want big fights; go out and get good wins. Khan hasn't had one since Maidana which was NINE BLOODY YEARS AGO!

Yeah but your suggestion was that he never deserved it. In a five year period Khan fought and beat Malignaggi, Maidana, Collazo, Alexander plus an old Judah. It's not like he was Kell Brook defending his title against the likes of Jo Jo Dan.

Wasn’t Jo Jo Dan mandatory? Yes a joke of a mandatory, but still!

In regards to the original post, would I like to see it? Not really that bothered. If it was on sky I’d watch it. If it was on PPV then I wouldn’t touch it.

Khan could have been so good, but he wasted his time chasing the biggest fights. I understand chasing them, but keep yourself active with good fights in the mean time to keep yourself knocking on the door.

Brook has more left to offer than Khan if he can get himself motivated.... Khan looked horrdendous against Crawford. Not interested but Brook wins KO if it does happen.

    Agreed.

One of my biggest grievances with fighters nowadays is that they think they're entitled to be in big fights all the time regardless of their level. It's like they think they can hop from one big fight to another even if they've lost. They think they don't need to rebuild and put in the hard yards again.

Take Kell Brook for example. He's gone on record saying that he can't get up for the lesser fights now and he needs a fight that will get him out of bed at 3am in the morning. He's just (probably literally) bumming around waiting to see who will give him the big fight that he wants. He's the worst culprit for this kind of behaviour.

Amir Khan is exactly the same. "I want the big fights now, I'm looking for legacy fights now". All this after fighting feather fisted welterweights for years and then losing every time he stepped up.

Why are you talking about Kell Brook?

Malinaggi was past it, Collazo was past it and Alexander was past it - coming off a loss if I remember it properly. None of them are good wins. Judah was also finished.

He ain't done spunk since Maidana Tony.

Alexander was coming off a win but yeah shop worn at best. I still think it was an OK win.
Collazo was on a decent run to be honest and then stopped Ortiz so that was an OK win
Paulie wasn't passed it he was just coming off probably the biggest win of his career
Khan then beats Algeri who again not a top tier fighter but decent but just like Brook he takes a stupid move to fight Canelo and its now hard to see where he goes. The Dibb fight is rubbish but he looks so vulnerable that the next time he fights someone with a dig he will get taken out... Again.

The fight should have happend a long time ago.. It would give the winner one last shot at the big time but really its a retirement fight for them if they want it.

I'm always up for Khan getting brutally knocked out but on Brooks last performance it's not a certainty anymore.
