How you figure? He doesn't have the wins to support this opinion. Fury Wilder Joshua Ruiz Whyte Parker is 1-2 against that group, and the guy he beat just dominated and stopped the prior No. 1. There's no good argument for Parker in the top five. Top 10, yes.
Look I'm not hating on Parker. I like the guy. I'm just honestly accessing his performance against a boxer his team clearly put in front of him for an early KO. His team saw what the other big names have done. Wilder knocked out his opponent. Fury knocked out his opponent. The guy Fury and Wilder fought was way better than Leapai. I'd even say those guys beat Leapai.
Some people are reading way too much into the fight going 10 rounds. It was only 10 months ago Tyson Fury went 10 rounds with Pianeta and a whole bunch of people here were certain they saw loads of signs that he was completely shot. Parker beat Leapai easily. Just a work out. Leapai was a tough punch bag. Parker did fine, Nothing else to say really.
Please don't put words in my mouth. I said Parker was behind, and content with it for the later rounds.
One observation Leapai's corner should have pulled him out a soon as it became clear he had no chance at all.imo
Even more shameful that he couldn't hurt the fat and shot version of a bum who barely trained for this fight.
Yep,, it looked like a sparring session with a crowd watching most of the time. I thought he looked disinterested at times and had no desire to close the show , which is what he needed to do to be talked about in the division instead of meandering around with an old at best C - fighter
