Genuinely believe haye loosing all his money and being bashed by bellew has elevated his consciousness to a better person.

Used to think he was a right scumbag but he’s been truly humbled, reduced to chisoras bucket carrier

Yep, it seemed as though Fury was legitimately taken aback by Ustinov for a second and maybe found a way out. I think he'd give Ustinov a boxing lesson fwiw.

It was a risk he did not need.

Ustinov showing up in shape was a major shock

The problem with David Haye was that he took too long of a layoff. He had natural ability and was explosive, but when you take 10 month to a year off and then suddently put your body under immense stress, then of course your body will react badly to that. David at times was taking over a year off, it was just too much. A very talented boxer with natural ability, but just took too much time off. Body said you can't do that and shut down.

I didn’t. And he pulled out of at least one klitschko fight too and then when he did fight him he bottled it

Prime haye and the come back injured version are two different beasts.

Prime haye was a tough fight for any cruiser or indeed any heavy in history.

I know he became a laughing stock with his injury's and decline but in his prime he was seriously fast and powerfull. One of my favourite fighters of recent years.

Why people can't see that the lies weren't the injuries but that they'd supposedly healed is mental to me. He was a broke. down shell of a fighter on the floor financially trying to hustle himself a few quid by pretending to the public he was healthy when he knew full well he wasn't. That said he thought even old and injured he had too much for Bellew - he was wrong.

He pulled out of the scheduled 2009 Klitschko fight because Setanta the TV network was on the verge of going bust and nobody else wanted to pick up the fight.

Did you just say that?! You feel Haye would be a tough fight for a prime Mike Tyson?! He would have been a tough fighter Michael Spinks, sure! Spinks may have been able to beat Haye at cruiser and he achieved more at heavy by knocking out Cooney, Haye would have been a tough fight for Cooney, the pointb is that was his level at heavy and cruiser, he was like Michael Moorer.

Haye pulled out due to genuine injuries.

This would have been a very interesting fight at the time. At the time of the proposed fight in 2013, Fury hadn't perfected his more backfoot style that he has today. He wasn't the same come forward fighter he was early in his career as he elected to box more, but he still was more of a front foot fighter than he is now. He made more mistakes in them days and left himself open more, particularly when coming forward and letting his hands go. Cunningham tagged him quite a bit in their fight.

In 2013, if Haye was fit, I think he would have eventually tagged him with a KO shot. A prime Haye V a prime Fury of today is a completely different fight, though.

I remember a video posted side by side of Haye and Ali throwing the same counter right punch. The difference in speed and explosiveness was massive, it really hit home the difference in boxing over time.
It didn’t stop the old timers talking about how great Ali was and how dare you compare David Haye to him. Haye was very good, and would be an all time great and fearsome monster if he was around in the 60s.

He refused to fight fury at first, he pulled out of the charr fight after fury fought Cunningham and was dropped in the fight and then agreed to fight fury afterwards immediately
