This is a great, great fight. Ali Eren of Turkey is a former olympic fighter who knocked out Tony Yoka in the amateurs. He went toe to toe with the likes of Filip Hrgovic and Joe Joyce. He turned pro after Rio and he's currently 11-0 with 10 knock outs. Originally Ajagba's opponent would be Christian Hammer. But Hammer backed out, and Ali Eren rose to the task. The only reason he took this fight is that, he wants to knock out Ajagba and get a title shot some time next year. A few months ago he would fight Ugonoh in Poland, but that event got cancelled somehow. Now he's really fired up for this opportunity. Ali Eren (29) is a decent heavyweight, a pressure fighter with outstanding stamina and chin. He's not an early, one-punch KO artist, but as the fight progresses, his relentless pressure is often too much to handle for his opponents. This is the fight Ajagba will really be tested and don't be surprised if he fails to pass.
I read about this one the other week, interesting clash of styles and somebody’s 0 has to go. I’m leaning towards the taller rangier efe to stop the tough Turk late
With Dubois v Gorman also fighting each other, we're finally getting prospects at aren't scared to fight each other. Ajagba to get up here.
Ali Eren's most recent win, a win over Redzovic was only Redzovic's second defeat. However he was knocked out by Tom Schwarz in 2, and it took Ali Eren 6 rounds to get rid of him (although the DQ was at the end of the 5th) This content is protected Ajagba has looked powerful very early, so it will be very interesting to see how he adjusts if the fight goes further than 4-5 rounds. However, having seen the Redzovic - Ali Eren fight, it looks like Ali Eren is going to struggle stay away from Ajagba. So unless he has an iron jaw it should be an early KO for Ajagba
I think it's going to be one of those genuinely unpleasant to watch beatings of a lifetime that ruins or hospitalizes a fighter type matches. Vitali vs. Briggs-esque. Demirezen looks like he's tough as nails, and Ajagba appears to have real and frightening power, not sure who wins, I lean heavily in Ajagba's favor, but it isn't going to be a walk in the park for either.
Demirezen’s increasingly heavy weight is a little concerning- especially since it seems to correspond with his unimpressive recent performances. He’s very tough based on what he’s shown in the ams but I don’t think he’s got the speed or stamina to reliably get past Ajagba’s jab which means he’s in for a long hard night, or a shorter one that involves taking a ton of punishment. Demirezen’s chance lies in Ajagba inexperience- they always the chance he’ll throw too many punches and gas earlier, or try to brawl up close and get drawn into something he shouldn’t.
Hopefully Efe learned from the Joshua vs Ruiz fight that no matter how tall you are, you gotta move your freaking head.
Efe reminds me so much of Ike Ibeabuchi coming up. He was mowing them down with ease. I said to Curtis Cokes "I think Ike could go all the way" He grinned & said "We wont know that till someone puts one on his jaw. If he takes it we might have a champion on our hands". I think the Tua fight proved that. Such a damn shame Ike decided to call that lying Vegas hooker that night she derailed his career
