Hosea is a dangerous fighter IMO. Don’t think he will ever set the world alight but he’s awkward and will outbox a few people to points decisions. No belt and no fan base plus his awkwardness makes it very hard for him to get fights I’d imagine. On a side note I think he’s left Hearn and just with MTK now? So be interesting to see if they can get him some big fights.
Yarde hasn’t exactly earned the right to fight Kovalev, look at all the bums on his record! Burton called Yarde out to his face in Vegas and Yarde messed his pants!
There was an IFL video around the time of the Fury fight where he confirmed he’s left matchroom. Mentioned he is struggling to get fights as he’s not a ticket seller but a dangerous fighter for anyone in the division. Was saying he is coming close to Cali g it a day unless he gets an opportunity soon. He’s been promised a fight on the next fury card.
He needs someone who will invest in him. Take a loss paying a few decent fighters decent money to face him and then get his name back in the mix.
Its easy to feel sorry for Burton because of the way he constantly says he cannot get any fights. Didn't he turn down offers for both Craig Richards and Buatsi? Although fighting on an MTK show could financially not be a bad option. O'hara Davies said he got double for the Vazquez fight than he did for fighting Derry Matthews on the undercard of AJ vs 'Walk this earth like a God'.
Over 10-12 rounds? He has never been past 7 in his whole career and was blowing after 3 against that old American guy he fought last time out. I think Burton gives Yarde problems if the fight ever happens. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Burton beat Yarde over the distance or even stopped him late.
He should defo look to piggy back of Fury's rise in popularity use his fanbase to try and like him due to running in similar circles (Hosea is a traveler too is he not?)
