Thurman didn’t have good punch resistance in any regard before his long layoff and the layoff probably made it worse. But like I said he’s a blatant runner. And he’s a fast runner at that. Pacs strong point has never been cutting off the ring. Lots of variables in this fight. But make no mistake, Thurman ain’t coming to fight no matter what he says. He will be on that bike.

Very much so. Floyd ran at times, but mainly I thought of him as a defensive minded boxer who has honed his craft and made guys fight his fight. Im not now nor was I ever a fan, I’m just saying. Thurman on the other hand was a ko artist who felt real power when he stepped up to world level and quickly changed to a style I’m sure he and others might compare to Floyd’s but I don’t see it at all. I see a straight up runner. Backwards lap after backwards lap. He’s no defensive wizard. He can be and does get hit. He just runs to get away from being hit. Cuz he’s glass. Floyd could come out of retirement now and josesito Lopez wouldn’t do much as lay a glove on him. He’d make Lopez look completely silly and he’d do it off the back foot, but not full out running laps around the ring in reverse. There’s no comparing Thurman and mayweathers styles. One is a defensive wizard who fights off the back foot and one is a total runner who is terrified of being tagged cuz he knows he might get starched.
