When was this video taken? That’s important, secondly it’s boxing and people get hurt.Thats why they spar,to learn and develop for the real thing. It’s a process and no one walks over everybody in the gym.

Also the timing and way he walked in made it very probable he would go down.He may have got up unhurt. We just don’t know enough.

    Interesting video though,cheers.

Yeah, all true. We all say 'sparring is sparring' and it's true but we tend to forget that whenever sparring footage actually gets leaked.

I'm sure there were / are a few people here who believed he'd beat Lomachenko, simply on the premise of him being too big for Loma.

It would've been the biggest irony if Figueroa did the Home Run taunt after dropping Lopez.

Getting dropped in sparring isn’t as much of an indictment as his overall performance in that last fight of his. Poor defence, control of distance, punch placement, timing, poor jab, no inside fighting. He has a lot to work on.

Whoever cut it off at five seconds ought to get whacked with a bar of soap in a sock for that kind of tease. I wanted to see his reaction

Devin Haney is the better prospect at lightweight in my opinion. Lopez is just more exciting to watch. As a big Lomachenko fan, Haney is the one fighter that makes me a little nervous. I don’t think he necessarily has a good chance of beating Loma right now but he could present a tough challenge down the road.

The guy he's sparring is a welterweight, 2 divisions above him. Calm the **** down, yeah, he got dropped, but so did Loma against Linares in a real fight against someone in his own division. I know y'all hate Teo just because of Loma.

I don’t hate him, I just think nothing of him. I’m guessing most people don’t like his unearned trash talk, or his dads nonsense. I’d like for him to be better than he is, Lomachenko needs some serious rivals. Teo ain’t it. The only potential is Haney, Tank.. and that’s about it. Loma’s legacy is being compromised by a lack of serious opponents. He should’ve jumped at that Pac fight.

He sparred a welterweight that has a 90 percent KO percentage.

Loma wont do that to Teo..

No, they don't like him just because he's brought Loma up. Go back on this forum prior to him mentioning Loma, he was a fan favorite and everyone shat on Haney(for reasons we obviously know), now the anti-Haney crowd despises Teo and puts Haney above him.

If the fight with Haney happens in 2020 I'd give him a very good chance to upset Loma. Loma is a bit undersized and past prime at this point and Haney just seems huge for a lightweight and is pretty skilled himself.

Yeah I agree for the most part, although I’d probably move that back to about 2021 or 2022....just my opinion obviously; you could end up being right. Haney is the real deal, and I think he will eventually be a welterweight and dominate that division for years.
