I've got no time for it personally. And I feel like it is being forced on us. Valuable tv spots are hard to come by and I would rather not see two women pitty-patting each other on my pay tv channels.

Same as women's football... If they wanna do it... More power to them... But it won't be anywhere near as skilled as the mens and its normally boring as ****... Might be seen as sexist but its just my opinion

Fairplay to Katie Taylor vs delphine persoon other week though... While some of the windmilling was ghastly.. It was still an entertaining scrap

Rousey had charisma and kept finishing her opponents fast because they didn`t know how to beat a judo expert, thee will never be a female Mike Tyson who had the same kind of impact as Rousey 9except globally far bigger) because Tyson kept knocking everyone out in a round on the way up and had a kind of aura about him, Rousey and Tyson were very rare in terms of impact, Rousey was a well marketed hype job, who eventually got exposed, therre will never be an elite female as good as elite males in any combat sport.

Woman are not built for fighting. Literally 50% weaker P4P. Bones built differently. muscles fibers stacked differently. Lung capacity smaller. Mentally wired differently.

People cringe at the get in the kitchen and make me a sandwich joke (Good old big George) but there's truth to it. That's how we evolved as a sex.

Hey i'd rather be in the stone kitchen than fighting bears naked to get a meal for my ugly ass neanderthal family.

Fighting is the worst of all sports for them to compete in.

When the majority of them can't even kick a ball well because of physical traits then that's one hell of a bad starting point.

obviously you get outliers and the same goes for men can find plenty of dudes with the physical co-ordination of a bent spoon.

I find womens sport boring to watch in general apart from one or two sports and change the channel usually, they lack explosiveness.

No interest in it. I don’t have a problem with women fighting but I just don’t care for it just like I don’t watch women’s basketball or minor league baseball etc etc.

It sucks because I have two daughters and would love it if they could make it big in sports but if I myself have no interest in it I can’t expect others to either lol.

I enjoy women’s MMA alot more.

Boxing is about getting hit and most women just can’t punch with authority.

    Now women’s beach-volleyball... that’s entertainment!

What about Rousey? She was a hypejob who was quickly exposed. I never enjoyed watching her at all, or any women's matches. Bilogy is not 'irrelevant' in the least. Men make for quicker, more powerful atnletes, which is why men's sports are almost always better than their female counterparts. This is less true in graceful areas such as gymnastics, but physical sports such as boxing this will always be the case.

Some of the matchups were/are intriguing though. Like Hammer/Shields. But 99% of it is trash.

My answer is gonna sound shallow AF, but in answer to the thread titles question: nothing. Not the least bit compelling, and even sometimes ****ing offensive. You see some women every now and then that can pick up certain skills or have certain athletic/physical traits that could make them interesting to watch, then they go out and **** it all away. Ive never watched a broad fight -- or compete at any sport for that matter -- the way I personally would if I were in their situation. Just two different languages. And they never, ever, EVER sit down on their shots and put some torque into anything. So many times ive watched it, tried to help girls at a local gym, and tried to give them a fair shake. Has to be over 300 instances by now. Not once have they delivered the goods or took advice or pointers and incorporated it into that garbage they call boxing. Actually, Ann Wolf could punch a bit for a broad and so could Lucia Ryker(sp?) but I really dont think ive seen anyone else.

And there are legit trainers that post here that have voiced similar complaints, especially in regards to punching. Ya it's a sport, but it's a ****ing fight too. Put something into a shot every now and then. Couldn't hurt right? Goof luck finding a handful that can and do put that into practice.

Women are the only things in my life that I consider pretty, like I can't look at a sunset or painting, or anything other than preferably a scantily clad woman and honestly consider them pretty or beautiful or recognize the brilliance in whatever it was. I know that's shallow and I'm the first to admit my IQ is wack AF, but it is what it is.

    IMO, They missed their chance.

Christie Martin put them on the map, boxed like an athlete not a woman, but her big day view got spoiled on the undercard of the bite fight. So her performance wasn't noticed.

Lucia Rijker was an outstanding boxer, but she blew the chance to become the face of women's boxing because 1. she stayed injured. 2. She fought a nobody club fighting dude and got KTFO'd.

Laila was billed as the heir, but her 1st husband IMO at the time knew her limitations so he constantly haggled her out of fights with Rijker, Leatitia Robinson & Ann Wolfe, all were undefeated except Wolfe who lost her 4th fight- for a title. IMO too soon.

Women's last chance was Ali overlooking Wolfe who moved up a division to chase Laila All-Lies. She did a Hank Armstrong and won every belt from MW, SMW & LHW. As a result Laila moved up again to fight Vonda Ward.

Vonda Ward tried to punk Laila by accepting Ann Wolfe as a tune-up. After Ann gave her the nastiest KO in the history of women's boxing aka the female tyson....Laila Ali finally accepted, for which Ann admits she turned it down and I understand.

A million dollar purse for 2 women, and Lalia tried to take almost $900,000 to which Ann said was a slap in the face. She had all the belts, Ann lamented that her daddy never treated Frazier, Norton or even Spinks that way. They got more than 10%, so why would Laila command 90% purse? Because of her last name? So she fought Christy Martin instead who was 3 weight classes under her. Fought the undersized MW Valerie Mahfood 3 times. 4what?
Christie fought her with no catchweight. So Laila went dancing with the stars after fighting a chick 20lbs lighter.
Her last fight was in South Africa with a girl who threw maybe 5 punches. zero landed.

From 1990 until today, that is more than enough time. I blame Laila. Had she accepted Ann Wolfe fight, I think it would have been massive. A very good boxer versus a knockout artist of a female.

Had Laila accepted Rujker who retired undefeated...that would have been massive. 2 cute women who can actually fight?
Had Laila accepted then undefeated L. Robinson who was 15-0, that would've been ghetto sister vs ghetto sister.
Or...had Christy Martin had an equal, that may have worked, but she over stayed & wound up losing to the flat butt playboy bunny Mia St. John.

If those names couldn't raise their sport up no one will.
Personally I don't care to watch women punch each other's face & breast. However, Ali & Wolfe for a short period had me willing to give it a chance.
