Full stop david haye was the Heavyweight fraud of the decade. A shot Ruiz , a shot Barret and club fighter Chisora......the stuff of legends The first true "British Hype Job " who talked the talk but never walked the walk. His best "win".......ran from the Russian Missing Link... Then he went for another track meet with Glass chinned WK, fell on his knees everytime it was fight time and blamed a bruised toe for his loss. Conclusion : Haye sucks and always sucked.....he would never ever engage AJ like Ruiz did, too fragile whiskers........he would lunge in with hooks and trade hooks with the Bodybuilder and as much as hate to admit , AJ would do him in, Hays chin and confidence is that bad at heavy.
Was in Hamburg for the Klitschko fight and Haye was getting serious stick from the BRITISH BOXING FANS all the way back to the dressing rooms after the fight. Everybody who attended knew there and then Haye was a huge fraud at Heavyweight.
Cripple toe vs the bodybuilder Coming soon at the barging price of 19.99 on Sky box office Allen vs Whyte 2 chief support Dull boy vs pricey Katie Taylor vs Katie price (making her debut, Harvey in the corner)
Katie Price sprints across the ring at the opening bell and decks Katie Taylor with an uppercut from the right breast. Follows up with a clinch where Taylor gasses and goes down after she gets her head stuck in the cleavage. Adam Smith's head explodes with Face Lift for Katie
"Harvey, you trained your mother through all those blood sweat and tears, you must be proud" Harvey "hello you ****s" Adam Smith "we apologize for the language there, emotions running high as you would expect"
Maybe i’m on my own with this but I think his head movement and foot speed is pretty impressive. He does eat too many shots but unfortunately that goes hand in hand with being a small heavyweight who has to take chances coming in on the inside.
We'd of got haye v Aj if he had beat Bellew. Obviously old Haye but **** me what a huge casual friendly fight that would've been. The most well known fighter of the decade before AJ ( certainly among non boxing fans) v the new public face of boxing.
History being rewritten and Haye getting a bit overrated here. Lets remind ourselves that he was terrified to engage with Wlad because he knew he didn't have the chin for it so got on his bike in the hope he could just land one lucky KO shot at some point. He then blamed his timid performance on his toe.
AJ via KO or TKO. Haye would be scared to let his hands go and circle the ring cautiously just trying to survive, just like he did against Valuev and Wlad. Eventually AJ would find himself in a shoot out position and land on Haye and get the finish.
Yes, it is mystifying how some people talk with such confidence about Haye as a heavyweight monster H2H. The evidence for this is limited. He showed glimpses of this against Chisora, and he obviously had exceptional handspeed and power. On the whole though, his wins at heavy are underwhelming, and he did about as well against Klitschko as Eddie Chambers did for 11 and a half rounds. While Haye was very dangerous, this version of Haye that routinely blitzes top level heavyweights never showed up in reality.
People always go on about who haye fought up at heavyweight. But tbf to him he dealt with them pretty impressively. Ruiz and barrett we,re up and down like a yo yo. Chisora also got a beating and knocked out badly. Valuev was a freak of nature. But haye done everything he was asked to do till the klitchko fight. It,ll always go down as his big failure. Always feel as much as i like booth as a trainer....he overthought the gameplan....with both the klitchko and valuev fight. He was to blame as much as haye was for the klitchko fight. Tried to out think steward. Had plans for different phases of attacks etc. When all it needed was for haye to fight his usual fight. All the talk in the build up should have been the gameplan. Could havd easily been knocked out but at the same time he could have knocked wlad out if he,d have went out looking for the knockout. It wasnt that klitchko forced him to fight that way with his superiority it was more he went out with a game plan to evade klitchko,s attacks etc. He should havr went out thinking a lot more offensively...klitchko could have been got at with hayes power and klitchkos engine when hr didnt have control of a fight.
