Don't know if anyone else has picked up on this but whenever you watch a sky fight night or watch an interview on IFL TV and subject of Joshua's loss and the state of heavyweight division comes up their amusing new narrative is to talk about how "open" the heavyweight division.

I find it hilarious watching Hearn, Smith and Woolhouse squirm around after for so long talking about "the road to the undisputed fight" with Wilder, trying to convince the casual audience that in actual fact it's great the Joshua lost all his belts.

The other which is more specifically perpetrated by Hearn to do the Ruiz v Joshua rematch is to claim the its now biggest fight in world boxing bigger than Wilder v Fury II.... it just utterly stinks of Desperation.

I agree but if you were in their shoes what else would you do? I for one would go with marketing Ruiz Jnr v Joshua 2 as bigger than Wilder v Fury 2, if it's your product you have to market it as best you can even if you don't believe it. I actually think it is though in terms of how intriguing it is, can Joshua bounce back, was it a freak night for him etc?

AJ Vs Ruiz II probably is the biggest heavyweight fight atm.

Both free to air, both at the same time, what do more people watch?

    AJ vs Ruiz
    Wilder Vs Fury

I’d watch Wilder vs Fury, but I know for a fact more people would tune into the AJ fight.

If Haymon shafts Hearn re the rematch as I believe he will, it's game over.

Ergo I think it is now - we're just watching the terminal decline in slow motion . Which is another way of saying that Sky/MR are just padding out a final 12-18 months of fleecing before Sky pull the plug on the deal and go PPV only for massive fights ala BT.

I’m far from Matchroom FC, just read my previous posts to understand that.

Nice of you to throw that out there though cause you have no reasonable comeback, as my original post is very correct.

You label everyone Matchroom FC that doesn’t agree with your opinion?

Joshua-Ruiz might be bigger than Wilder-Fury 2 in the UK. However, where it matters which is the States. It's a no contest.

Joshua is a laughing stock and Ruiz is still building his profile. Fury vs Wilder is a fight that determines the best heavyweight fighter in the world.

Is it coincidence that Tyson is claiming the Wilder rematch is done just before Eddie announces the rematch

I'm not sure you know. Eddie has been making noises saying an announcement is coming this week.

AJ vs Ruiz 2 is huge. It's all or nothing for AJ. Can he regain his title or is career pretty much finished?

Will easily sell out a stadium and draw a massive PPV buyrate.

AJ - Ruiz 2 is absolutely massive believe me. Joshua is finally in an interesting fight again, how can he turn it all around? It’s all very intriguing. I think if it’s in the UK, it does Joshua’s highest numbers on PPV.
