Danny Williams is STILL fighting and STILL getting licences to fight. What sanctioning body in good conscience can give this guy a boxing licence?? http://boxrec.com/en/boxer/6522
To be clear, Danny Williams fought on a STEVE COLLINS undercard in his early days. Thats how long here's been going
The sad thing is he was on a winning streak! The guy was shot to **** V Arich years ago i've just looked it up it was 2008! He's sufferd some brutal KO's since then and most have accumulated huge damage Promoters musn't care
yes...before some boxers currently vying for a spot in next year's summer olympics were born/conceived.
Unfortunately there are too many sanctioning bodies that will gladly license a guy like Williams, who has a name, but clearly shouldn’t be fighting anymore, since for every good ethical doctor out their there are 20-30 bottom feeder doctors that will lie and say a fighter is good to go for the right price.
It's a shame. Newer fans will just remember him as a low level journeyman punching bag but in his prime he was a very solid European level fringe world type of guy with some nice skills and a solid resume to boot. Oh yeah. Ton of heart too. That Mark Potter win will remain one of the ballsiest wins in boxing history for as long as the sport carries on.
Monster Inoue was the ripe age of 2 when Danny debuted. It's unreal that a heavyweight in today's game would have 80 fights
How does prime Danny Williams do against Wilder, Fury, Joshua, Ruiz? Sparked out by all four or does he cause issues?
looses to all fairly easily. He was hammerd around the ring by Sinil Sam who would also get bounced by all of the elite right now. He was a good if erratic fighter but not world class at any point
