Peter was much better than I expected. He came to win and threw some hurtful looking punches. He also used seriously rough house tactics and Hughie dealt with it well. That illegal left hook would've wobbled many heavyweights. Hughie's footwork and defence is very good. In saying that, Hughie just doesn't hurt opponents enough. Peter was tired and decent heavyweight shots should've really slowed him down. Hughie couldn't deliver those shots and Peter was too dangerous for too long. That lack of bite in Hughie's shots is the reason he will probably fall short of world honours. Say what you like about Tyson's power, but he can slow down any man on the planet with his punches.
A complete embarrassment for all concerned. Hughie wasn't 'excellent.' Peter was blowing after literally one minute and was staggering back to his corner at the end of the first round. I know people want to give him a chance but this was an obese, completely shot Sam Peter who was well past it about eight years ago.
I have to honest Fury looked rotten tonight again a very past it but game Peter Throws everything from range and its far too predictable No progess from the Pulev fight from what i see
The matchmaking for Hughie is costing him his career; he’ll learn more in sparring then getting smashed in the nuts by a fossilised Peters.
Being obese doesn’t mean ****, Fowler. An obese man played with and totally destroyed your bumlord last month.
Hughie did not look useless in there, no point throwing your toys out of the pram and making outlandish statements.
Last night was certainly a spectacle- Peter was marginally better than expected but his constant fouling was shameful. Hughie looked OK if a bit light. Khan got £7 million for last night’s fight- think of the card that could be built around that type of money without that mismatch.
There are no toys coming out of the pram. Hughie looked deeply poor against a shot, old man. Peter wasn't necessarily better than expected. He's been shot for years, was fat, was hilariously wild, missed all the time and resorted to fouling after about sixty seconds because he was knackered. That was to be expected. The issue was what should have been an easy exercise in pot-shotting a sitting duck and walking him onto shots fell apart. Hughie is going nowhere.
