Dude has no clue unlike ol Frank

I remember when a young Miguel Cotto was in prime position to fight Hatton buy Frank said no and went after Tzsyu

Hearn would have put Hatton in with Cotto

He has no knowledge of the sport or his fighters limitations.

He’s not “clueless” but you’re right he’s not good at it.

The classic story that gets mentioned is when he arranged for Barker to fight Golovkin and Sims immediately vetoed it.

But on the flip side he provides opportunities. Really it’s up to the trainer to decide whether it’s right for his fighter.

Don’t forget Warren put Clev into a voluntary defence against Kovalev.

I suspect Matchroom went after Gorman and forced his hand. Noticed it right around the time Gorman was kicking off on Twitter about favouritism towards Dubois. You can see it on Gorman's twitter follows, got Hearn, Frank Smith and Matchroom media guys there https://twitter.com/GormanBoxing/following Couple of weeks later the fight was made.

    Exactly
f a w n k would not have made this fan friendly fight unless his hand was forced
leading me to believe his hand was forced
f w a n k don't like pitting his fighters on the way up against each other
    he believes in protecting 0s
    ask joe

It’s a catch 22. Over match you lose, under match you lose. Finding the perfect match is extremely hard too. It’s not many times a year we get a 50/50 and I mean that worldwide not just in the UK.

Didn't matchroom lose their best matchmaker a couple of years ago? Can't remember his name but somebody told me he had left.

Yep. Its not the promoter who is the true matchmaker he ha someone to do that for him. Final choice is the fighters too.

A promoters job is to create opportunity and maximise revenue and build the fighters brand. Its then down to the fighters manager you would hope alongside the fighter and trainer to decide if it's the right fight or not.

I know this is a troll thread but I'll play:

Warren will not match AJ-Ruiz, no matter what he does this year.

Hearn is very good at protecting his fighters against poor opponents while climbing rankings, then chucks the fighter in for a World title shot with no chance of winning!!!...countless times ,then he comes out with ' they had to take the chance, biggest payday'etc

Polar opposite of how Warrington has been brought through ,stepping up in class little by little and look at him now...Nobody could have predicted his improvement to being World champ...

The biggest waste being Kell Brook...What a waste of talent that was
