Now Hughie has had his fill of pudding, who next? IBF: 1. Pulev- he’ll be incubating that no1 spot happily for another year and won’t want the risk. 2 vacant 3. Kabayel- like this fight. Couple of solid wins on his resume and the perfect intermediate, levels wise, between British and world. 4. Kownacki- Scheduled to fight Arreola Next month. More than likely will stay in America. 5. Helenius- A solid win vs Teper last time out and scheduled to fight Washington next. If the Nordic nightmare prevails than this will be an easy nights work for Hughie. 6.AJ- nope 7. Tyson Fury - bare knuckle at the Appleby Fair only. 8. Rivas- will either be on the comeback trail Or lined up for a world title shot after next week- so no. 9. Ortiz- won’t be much left after the wilder fight. 10 Kuzmin- looks to be heading down the WBA route. 11. Otto Wallinn- Not seen this lad fight before. Holds a version of the EBU. Possible? The rest are Hrgovic, hunter and Parker; Each forging different paths respectively. So realistically I’d like to see Helenius or Kabayel. Anybody around Euro standard as the British lads won’t go near him.
Any ideas on his pay cheque last night? I imagine it would have been reasonably lucrative given the location and Khan's ridiculous purse.
Hughie is lucky that he has the Fury name. If he wasn't related to Tyson, I don't think he'd be anywhere in his career. Even Channel 5 were promoting last night as Khan and Fury.
Joyce. Tailor made for Hughie, Hughie would put a beating on his ass. Joyce is way, way too slow for Hughie.
Id like this. Relentless pressure and no defense ha a defensive wizard. But id say everyone avoids Hughie right now, if you Beat at best you will look terrible doing so.
Watched some snippets of last night. Holy **** Hughie lost some timber. His style is a proper aficionado's one in fairness, he needs to be way more offensive and commit to the shots and be thinking of getting out the second they leave his shoulders.
Hard to match him with anyone decent with Hennessy as his promoter, and he's a nightmare to face with the ridiculous amount of movement he does during his fights. Top tier fighters will beat him but look terrible in doing so.
