Just goes to show you how bad the small print stipulations must have been ...

Not to mention, Kovalev would have to pay Yarde step aside money, plus compensate Top Rank, who still has options on him as previously stated. Plus, he is going to make similar money in Russia to fight Yarde where Krusher has all the home advantages . When you take all that into consideration, and all the garbage that you mentioned that comes with fighting Canelo in Vegas, it’s really not a great deal at all. I don’t blame Duva for Turing it down one bit. Hold out for the 13 Mil that Jacobs got.

Yarde-Kovalev is supposed to be August 24th in Russia. According to Frank Warren the fight is official. They would have to give Yarde a nice chunk of money for him to step aside and let Canelo fight him September 14th. Especially since this is Yarde’s 1st real big purse. I don’t imagine he would step aside for chump change.

Do you know anything about it? Because I got my information from Kathy Duva's interview and she said nothing about small print.

If Kovalev beats Canelo he becomes an over night super star and will dictate much more money in future fights including 10 ****ing million for the rematch. When Kovalev beats Yarde no one will give two shits.

Canelo needs Kovalev more than the other way around. So once again I ask, why won't he just pay the man for this legacy enhancing fight???

Lies! It's already listed on ESPN that Kovalev next opponent is Yarde.

Then why even start negotiating for a fight with him?

From him not wanting to fight GGG again and DAZN only approving one or the other it seems like he does need him.

One of your points is if Kovalev beats him he'll be a superstar. Well what would happen if Canelo beats him?

Between the lines you're making it seem like Kovalev is ducking him by not taking the fight for the low ball offer. He wants to get paid. He already learned from the Ward 2 debacle that he needs an up front guarantee.

So again I ask, why doesn't Canelo just pay the man if he's so confident he can beat him?

The rematch is only if Kovalev wins. Are you taking into account the money everyone is is getting off that 6? And if he wins once again he'd probably have to pay step aside money to Yarde and everybody else that will take a cut. SMH. So once again I ask you if he's so confident that he can win since CANELO went seeking the match, why doesn't he pay him??? Because he doesn't want the fight that's why. Stop defending Canelo with your fanboy antics and be objective.
