Yeah but coming in 56lbs lighter bro to make Cruiser lol..He couldn't make 220, hes a big lad just Dubious is huge, he couldn't do 230 even
Losing isn't a crime, but Gorman showed very poor ring IQ and a total inability to adapt after his initial tactics clearly weren't working. His true level got found out tonight, and that's about where he'll stay.
Having rewatched it a few times, at points Gorman was literally looking at the floor, windmilling away like a kid in the playground. I should have known things were going to be a bit one-sided when Fury was interviewed and his voice tone went a few octaves higher if he thought Gorman was going to win "having sparred them both".
He should get his confidence back, connect with several easy wins against fighters like Parker, Molina, Stiverne etc.
Lucas Browne is Batman to Gorman's Robin. Except young Lucas was biten by a rabid village hogg who became blood thirsty.
I don't mind a fighter losing, but the nature of that beating didn't leave me much optimism for the lad's ceiling. Fighters have overcome ugly losses before, don't get me wrong, but the odds aren't very good for it.
Okay, I watched the fight. Gorman is crafty, but isn't going anywhere because his size puts him in no man's land. It would take a serious effort for him to get to cruiserweight and his lack of power makes him a sitting duck for real heavyweight contenders.
Gorman was utterly and completely outclassed in every single category by Dubois. Where was this vaunted hand speed? Skills? He fought like he was terrified to even engage Dubois apart from a rare counter. He fought the entire fight going backwards and doesn't even do that well.
