Thursday in Alpes-Maritimes, southern France, airing live on RMC Sport. WBA Intercontinental light heavyweight title at stake, Bauderlique's first defense. Both men last fought in late March. Bauderlique defeated Mustafa Chadlioui on 3/28 for the belt, via corner retirement after eight rounds. Ngumbu challenged Oleksandr Sergeevich Gvozdyk two days later for the WBC light heavyweight title, and had to withdraw after sustaining a calf injury. Directly after Bauderlique stopped Chadlioui, on the RBR thread I actually had expressed hope this match would happen eventually:
Kind of a stacked domestic card, as No Limit soirees go... The co-main event is Yvan Mendy vs. Diego Fabián Eligio for the WBA Intercontinental lightweight title. A rematch between Dylan Jim-Jordan Charrat and Howard Cospolite for the vacant European Union light middleweight title and Maïva Hamadouche's fifth defense of her IBF women's super featherweight title against Janeth Pérez Vigil round out the bill.
interesting fight between 2tier / EBU Level light heavyweights. ngumbu is a cutie……..one of those fighters that does everything wrong when it Comes to the Boxing textbook, yet usually gets the win. the winner should fight boesel for the ebu belt.
That's a pretty savage TKO. This content is protected As for the fight.... Some reservations due to Bauderlique being stopped in 1 by a light hitting fighter(can't find the video). But he does have good pedigree and Ngumbu might be hitting a wall at 37 and off a bad loss to Gvozdyk. But favoring in experience, his consistency and the fact that this marks a massive step up in class for Bauderlique on balance I have to go with Ngumbu. Think he'll frustrate with his awkward style and smother a lot of Bauderliques work. a lot closer having looked into it a little more but the more experienced fighter should take it unless age has caught up with him.
