What you feeling on this one Sandman??

Could "Magic Mike" Zerafa "strip" Horn of prestige?

This will decide who's the prettiest of them all at Middleweight in this country. For this year anyway.

I like Horndog by kayo. I think he's physically stronger & rugged enough to get at Zerafa as the fight wears on.

Not sure how Zerafa will handle Horndog going full monty on him.

The report I read on Zerafa sparring with Daniel Lewis is that he was much faster, bigger & more skilful than was thought.

I can see him outboxing Horndog from the outside for a few rounds but he'll need to keep it going for the duration of the fight to win.

Zerafa has a great chance, 50/50 fight in my opinion, won't surprise me in the slightest if he wins, horn is a tough gritty sob but he is being overrated since that pac robbery, until horn beats someone world class in a neutral place with a ref who is willing to uphold the rules the jury is out on him. zerafa has had great prep with the brook fight, and should be more than ready for horn.

    Pernell Whitaker has passed away.

Amazing fighter, one of the all time greats. Very slick skills.

Imagine a dream fight between Whitaker and Mayweather at 135/140 in both their primes ? Who would you pick ?

When they were both young blokes, a similar question was posed about Pernell Whitaker & Meldrick Taylor. Both Olympic gold medalists & the hottest talents in the sport at the time. I remember the editor of The Ring plumbed for Taylor on the basis of his busier style. I think I'd go Mayweather for the same reason.

I think of Pernell Whitaker as the quintessential American champion. An Olympic gold medalist in an American Olympics that the world didn't attend, lost on the scorecards when he challenged for a world title in another country (France from memory) and always had American refs to order "break" every time he clinched without ever receiving a warning. See the Azumah Nelson fight for a good example of that. Oddly enough, the same referee was dynamite on one fighter seeking to hold when Frank Bruno fought Mike Tyson for a second time.

If that sounded like a complaint, it wasn't really meant to be. Just some of my memories of "Sweet Pea". Professional boxing is quintessentially an American sport & Pernell Whitaker was one of the finest practitioners of it there ever was. The first pet I ever owned was officially named Pernell "Sweet Pea" Whitaker as a tribute to the champ. RIP to both.

Zerafa did well against Brook who like Horn is a more natural light-middle and I agree that has helped have the better prep the last year, while Zerefa has a chance I don't think it's anywhere near a 50/50 fight, please though if you or anybody sees odds making it close to an even fight let me know.
Seems like a few others here I think you are blinded by and are getting hung up to much on the result of a close fight you disagree with, whatever you think of the result of the fight it's undeniable how impressive Horns performance was against 1 of the ATGs.
1 of the main reason Zerefa is a chance is because of the doubts about Horn at the weight as he is clearly the better of the2, while I think Horns best chance in the future is at light-middleweight I think he can have some success on the domestic level and against fringe contenders like Zerefa.

Yeah that would be a sick fight, I would have loved to see Whitaker beat Mayweather.
I probably rank Whitaker the best lightweight of all time it's a pity he got robbed of what would have been his greatest win against Chavez

Zerafa did not do well against Brook he just did better than expected he survived which is something Horn would not be able to do against Brook. I still make Horn the favourite against Zerafa but I don't think anybody is getting stopped in this fight. Zerafa has a good chance but I expect Horn to resort to his usual dirty tactics hopefully they have a competent referee for the fight.

I meant to put he did OK as most predicted pre fight that he'd get stopped but i'll let you have that 1 since you don't get to many wins on here, certainly not against me.
I agree the fight will likely will go to a decision but clearly if anybody is going to win by stoppage it's going to be Horn who is clearly the bigger puncher with the only doubt being around whether his move to middleweight will have any effect.

Horn and his team insisted on draining shot Mundine below the middleweight limit and are making Zerafa come up to the middleweight limit.

Your wrong and are you're trying to make something out of nothing again as there was no extreme weight drain for Mundine at all, apart from 1 fight against Green most of Mundines previous fights had been at a similar or even less then what he had to weigh for the Horn fight
