What are some of the most impressive displays of jabbing you've seen? Fights where one boxer simply dominated the action through the use of his jab (and footwork)...

    Willie Pastrano - Harold Johnson
John Conteh - Alvaro Yaqui Lopez
Tommy Loughran - Braddock/Walker/etc.,...virtually all Tommy's wins were jabbing clinics...the jab was his main weapon....almost his only weapon.
    Ken Buchanan - Donato Paduano
    Pinklon Thomas - Tim Witherspoon
    Carlos Ortiz - Joe Brown

Oscar DelaHoya for about 7 rounds built a lead over Tito basically with only a jab and tons of "movement". His jab was impressive and had Trinidad confused.

Kind of odd mention, but I thought about Foreman vs Briggs. George's jab really controlled the fight, even though he was two times slower than his opponent.

Archie Moore used his jab in beautiful way against Valdes, who was much bigger and longer fighter.

More recently, Golovkin dismantled Lemieux like a watch in a fight that many people thought would be a slugfest. He declined to go to war with the very heavy handed Canadian, and instead opted to use distance and his jab to wear him out for the KO. Lemieux simply couldn't get going with that piston in his face all night long.

Probably the only fight he ever bothered to use it for any length of time.

Oscar De La Hoya vs Miguel Angel Gonzalez. Buddy McGirt vs Kevin Watts; McGirt lands over 200 jabs against a 6 foot tall southpaw.

probably too obvious, but any fight that Larry Holmes dominated. When I think of jabbing I think of Holmes.
