Horn is a young fit tough large welterweight with good recovery skills who was given 1 minute to recover from the previous rounds barrage, that is not evidence that the ref was wrong, he was clearly ****ed up in the previous round. Manny was robbed not just in the sense of the score cards but also in how the fight was refereed, he got away with murder in there which allowed him to get the scores as close as they were, was a ****ing disgrace and has set back boxing in Australia possibly a century, no more champions coming here for a loong time I'm afraid, like it wasn't bad enough as it was.
Aww come on , I think it would take at least 6 or 7 rounds for Thurman to bust Horn's face up into meat loaf
Yes schools him, Thurman in his prime and is too smart for horn, levels to this, horn won't be getting away with that mma shite in the states. You guys keep over rating horn based on that PAC robbery, let me know when he beats a good fighter on neutral ground, I won't be surprised if zerafa beats him.
No way i'd hate to imagine what boxing would become if fights started getting stopped when stuff like that happens, especially world title fights and as i have said before I have no issue with anybody scoring it for Horn or Pacquio but in no way was it a disgrace or robbery. I'm not sure why you and others keep blaming australia for the way the referee officiated and how the fight was scored considering none of the officials were from here or had any connection to australian boxing? As for big fights coming back to fight in Australia, not many champs or big names are willing to travel especially the distance to get here but if the moneys right they will still come as there isn't a lot of places able to get even close to the sort of crowds who attended Horn v Pac and other big events here
Based off Thurman's performance against Lopez, I say Horn has a chance to beat Thurman with his aggressive smother and brawl style. Thurman 2 years ago beats him pretty easy with footwork.
LOL at you calling anybody a fanboy you are the definition of one. Horn was only able to survive against Pac by using dirty tactics the officiating in that fight was the worst I have ever seen. The whole fight was dodgy from the get go. The fact that Horn was hurt by a completely shot Randall Bailey shows that he is nowhere near top level.
I'm not involved in a petty pissing contest with you it's clear who know know's what around here and when it comes to Horn especially you have no credibility and are laughing stock
Umm I don't know how you gathered I am blaming Australia for this, your reading between the lines, read my post PROPERLY, it is obvious the ref was at major fault here, either he succumbed to the pressure of the home town crowd or was paid off by the locals, worst officiating ever. Who was at fault is irrelevant, the bottom line is that Australian boxing will suffer tremendously as a result, we are ****ing laughing stock here, no self respected world champion will risk losing his title here just for a few extra on the gate, America and England is where it's at. I explained before why it was a disgrace, there is a reason why the boxing world was in uproar after 'this mess, no rational objective person who understands the rules of boxing can defend what happened that night.
You are 100% right mate. The whole event was dodgy from the get go the Queensland government helped fund it and no doubt they paid off officials. I believe that team Horn was told all they have to do is survive to the final bell and the title will be his.
That wouldn't ****n surprise me unfortunately, I wonder if he wasn't a teacher and he was instead a garbage collector if he would of been given the same treatment.
It was day. Not night, i was there that day at Suncorp, Stadium. From my vantage point Pacquiao looked to be losing, the crowed cheered when Horn man handled Pac like a rag doll. It was an amazing event nonetheless worth every penny. There should be more of it in Australia. But i get your point about hometown officiating and bias judges. I have witnessed many times that here in Australia. That's another story and will turn off international stars from fighting here.
Da day or night don't matter, I've watched that fight a few times with no volume, and get the same conclusion every time, as you said the crowd cheered every time horn man handled PAC, most of that was illegal roughhousing which the ref refused to pull up, this ain't wrestling and mma, boxing has rules. that kind of cheering not only sways the crowd but can also sway the judges, hence you thinking horn was winning, horn may have been winning if you pretend boxing doesn't have rules, and raggdoling your opponent counts as points.
