It was hilarious when he was telling the World how 'Martin ' was going to shake up the HEavyweights and beat the lot only to get absolutely spanked and look terrible!!!

I felt for him that night he looked totally crushed....By all accounts Bakole is decent but he might have a touch of the David Price about him

Yes I was totally gutted, however there was a legitimate excuse for Martin that night.
I believe he’s an excellent fighter and with Matchroom’s backing can go far, fingers crossed

 

More like a touch of the Tony Dosh PPV that night against Hunter although up against a quality opponent.

 

I doubt Warren was particularly interested in Bakole despite what Billy Boy has claimed.

There's some big sparin story's that are circulating concerning Bakole, which havnt come from Billy but others who have no connection to Billy or Martin.
By all accounts Martin is the real deal....in sparin that is.
Now sparing and fight night are two different things as we all know.
Plenty of fighters have looked red hot in the gym only to look bang average for the fight. Some fighter don't catch the eye in sparing only to come alive on the night.
I've heard Martin gave ddd hell, is that right Billy?

 

Give props to bakole for 1 agreeing to fight hunter and 2 actually fight him. Despite the result I bet it was a real learning curve for him.

The modern day fighters are so scared to lose their precious 0 but it would be intresting to see the better progression out of fighters who A/ stepped up and lost but came again and B/ Those who protected their 0 and then stepped up.

 

You know you're fighter better than anyone and if there was a legit reason for the Hunter fight then fair play, that can be dealt with but if there wasn't a legit excuse then you've got trouble, you can't gloss over things like that, they can be near on impossible to overcome bar protecting your fighter from similar opposition.
But as you've said Billy, there was a legit reason. Good luck, matchroom backing is a fantastic result for you both.

Exactly. This obsession with the '0' is what stops so many good fights being made. Most of the best fighters in history have had a few losses. Surely you'd want the top guys in any division to be genuinely close in ability meaning they can both lose against eachother.

 

Hunter is a handy fighter tbf, he probably gives Bakole real issues even if he is 100 percent.
