    If he takes a beating at 40 years old, then probably best not to.

    No proof, I can do the exact same and point out about 30 boxers who do incredible things and say there on drugs with no proof

    Pac is just a once in a lifetime fighter. Let's all appreciate and enjoy his fights while he's still around. Hopefully he'll put on a hell of a performance this weekend.

    One of thee elite of the elites of all time, I still cant believe what he achieved for a little guy still..Sad to see him go but its past time now. Not one person, or Boxing fan I should say, should ever utter a bad word about him

    Hope you're right but depends on how you define..'defend yourself'....past it and/or off day greats can take prolonged beatings...as they still have the class, chin, stretched to it's limit defence and sheer guts to take a protracted beating. Their sheer greatness and maestro muscle memory can keep them upright far longer than a lesser fighter...and is healthy for them and edifying to watch. Happened countless times.

    I hope not but Father Time catches up with them all, and Pacquiao seems like the kind of fighter who may not retire UNTIL that happens to him.

    There will never be another fighter like him. Despite his superstar status, the guy takes the time out to pose for pictures and sign autographs for fans after ever workout. Every single time. Incredible ambassador of the sport.
