Price vs Allen

Reading all the predictions has me laughing, Dave Allan is not in any way a big puncher for a heavyweight to think he is is madness
The only way Allan win is by price gassing, what credit can you take out such a win, because he will then step out of domestic level think it’s the same and get smashed

 

It’s (unfortunately) ironic that the one proper time that Allen takes it fully seriously, gets in great shape and shows self belief, he ends up getting proper starched. It’ll probably be in a round that everyone expects Price to have gassed by, too.

 

Agreed. I think Price will do it. I think Allen is probably a bit better than he's shown for most of his career.. but at one stage Price was look at as a potential star before his fall from grace.

I think Price is much better than Webb and Lucas Browne and the step up could be too much for Allen.

 

Like Browne Allen, both are so bad I can’t envisage a winner.

 

If Price lets his hands go, he will win.

Browne was getting better of Allen till he pulled out that wonderful body shot.

 

If he lets his hands go he'll gas and get ironed out. Allen is so easy to hit, he only really needs to throw jabs and the occasional right hand to score points. Even Price should be able to see Allen's shots coming and defend accordingly.

I don’t think Allen is a big puncher either and I think his handspeed is very slow when he throws on top of that.

But Price has no chin whatsoever and he will gas as you mentioned - it’s an inevitability.

On top of that Dave Allen has an iron chin.

All of those factors lead to Pricey starched on his back.

Allen has also demonstrated in his last couple of fights that he can work the body quite well. Likewise I can't see how Price wins this unless Dave's chin has finally been "cracked" and Price just starches him with a massive right hand - which is a possibility in itself.

The one thing that Pricey absolutely hates is a shorter in-your-face boxer charging forward and just throwing bombs and that's Allen to a tee.

 

KO records can be padded by fighting lots of puddings.

 

Price will get KO'd badly.
That's why he's on the card.
He's reliable.

 

Not mch credit, but ....... more credit that he would get for losing to a shot, chinny, gassed old man like Price.

 

Both of them are crap.
