If it wasn't for the fact that Wilder would catch him with a clean one sooner or later (and likely put him into a coma) I'd rather fancy Ward outhustling the Bronze Bummer.

Ward has zero chance against Fury, none. A good boxer with Fury's dimensions will clean Ward up every time.

    Oh, Joy:facepalm:.
Now we have to see a fighter cheat in the ring with headbutts and then give some self righteous gibberish in the interview afterwards. I can't hardly wait.

Ward is a smart guy. He knows boxing and it's history. He is very strategic in his career. That being said, I highly doubt he moves all the way to the heavies were he is giving up height, and strength. His strength allows him to wrestle his opponents, not doing that with a huge guy like AJ. He can't stay on the outside and out box a guy like Wilder. I just don't see Ward going into a fight giving up that much.

The think with Pacquiao is even if you doesn't believe his religion beliefs, you know he's not a hypocrite. He fights clean. He's humble and has honor in and outside the ring. I respect that. Unlike Ward and Holyfield who are dirty and cheat. No one wants a self righteous chant from a hypocrite.

He retired early to do this? Fury would outbox the crap out of him and not sure he can deal with wilders power but would love to see him try. The man was always top 3 p4p so wouldn’t put it completely past him.

    I mean, it's obvious.

Ward likes mauling and working people up close. He's going to try that on a muscle mountain like AJ? Good luck.

He could try potshotting from the outside I guess. But Joshua is a decent if not great boxer, and he's got - oh - 11 (eleven) inches of reach on Ward as well as a competent jab.Ward gets battered to pieces on the outside.

There's speculation about Joshua's chin. But Ward has never been a knockout artist, nevermind at HW. Conversely, if Ward thinks Kovalev can hit hard, let's see what he thinks about a guy 80lb heavier who has a genuinely scary KO record.

The only hole that Ward could exploit is maybe getting AJ to tire himself out. But rather he tries to rope a dope Joshua than me. He's the older guy in this contest and while Ward's always been in good shape, I frankly doubt he can get Joshua to tire himself out throwing punches without getting turned into coleslaw himself.

TLDR: I favour the huger, younger guy over the much smaller older guy with better skills that unfortunately play into the strengths of the bigger man.

A more perfect bout for him would be Usyk rather than going for a 6’9 guy Jesus.

Well then you must believe it because GBP did send a decent offer to his promoter.

    No link?
    I see.

I drop expect Ward to make a comeback at some point though.

He has a few years left in him to be competitive, assuming he's healthy.

No doubt he could wrestle those guys to the title.
