Wouldn't be surprised if Trinidad get's knocked down early in this before taking over and either getting a stoppage or forcing Mosley into survival mode en route to a points win, Shane just wasn't slick enough or elusive enough to win this.
mosley always struggled against rangy fighters, who would put pressure on him and would basically tense up and stop throwing. I think titos style of always being ready to throw bombs and his catlike reflexes, would be a huge problem for mosley.
I was a BIG fan of Mosley but always thought that Trinidad would be a bad matchup for him. Shane like to prove he was just as strong and hit just as hard or harder than his opponent. This attitude would not bode well against Trinidad. Shanes speed and power would get to Tito in the early to mid rounds...but that pressure and right hand/left hook of Tito would land eventually and if it landed too much we could very well see a late round stoppage in favor of Tito
The scorecards wouldn't be an issue unless they read them to Shane on his way to the hospital. It wouldn't go 12. Mosely was a fine fighter perhaps a great 135lber but at 147? Tito was much at that weight.
Sugar Shane Moseley had the speed but Felix Tito Trinidad had the firepower to destroy his opponents. When he hit the canvas early in some of his tile bouts, it was like a very hard slap in the face meant to wake him up. It would remind me of the old Mennen Skin Bracer commercial of the 1970's, after a slap in the face, Thanks I Needed That.. He then went on a search and destroy mission against his adversary. Remember the bout against Yori Boy Campas? Mosely will cause a nuisance early with his speedy combination punching. But then Tito begins to time Shane's punches, finding the range with his right hand. Felix ends this one in round 7 after putting Sugar Shane on the deck, moments later, the referee ends the contest.
