Respect for what? He didn't live up to all the hype he put out, and had to eat his words. I'm glad he got beat, dude way to arrogant. maybe this fight will humble him a bit. Guess we won't see him fighting Spence jr anytime soon.
To me he did a bit of what Shane did. Shane is a pretty powerful puncher, got hit by guys as big as 5'10 & 6'0 Forrest & Winky a MW. But when Shane got dropped. it was like another version showed up from then on & wanted no ebb n flow with Pac like he did with everyone else. I think at points in the fight Keith had that mindset, like he knew he could run into something bad. Again! Yet he eventually maneuvered, adapted, adjusted and landed some nice bombs late rounds. Didn't phase Pac. I don't think he fought a bad or dumb fight, I think he got a reality check and waded into deep waters as opposed to diving in. This content is protected
No doubt Thurman had round one in the bag and it would have been a great foundation to build on. You could tell in rounds 2 and 3 he sensed an urgency to claw back the deficit and it told in his power punches which were a little rushed.
Respect for what? what thurman did is done by 99% of profesional fighters. And a lot of them knowing for sure that they are going to be executed in the ring, because they were hired for that, even holding bags or weights in the weigh-in. A lot more than you would think. Respect for thurman? not specially, tbh.
So? He sucked it up, grabbed his gum guard so he can breathe through his mouth properly and moved. He handled it like a boxer with excellent IQ should.
Fair enough he can take an L for the crucify comments. I even made a thread about how his pre fight trash talk made him sound corny as hell. But in the ring he fought hard and wel tonight. Didn’t do much wrong, he just couldn’t cope with the pace and output and really the first round KD made the difference.
Keith dug down deep and made a nice comeback after getting white washed early. He landed some really good shots on Pacquiao but Pac took em like a champ some right on the chin. 1Time def deserve credit for fighting so valiantly, it was a great back and forth fight.
Keith did well but i was surprised in the difference in skill. Manny was borderline dominating the first 4 rounds before he gassed. Also i was shocked by how little Keith's power affect pacman.
I give Keith credit for fighting hard and being a Modest loser at the post fight conference. But Manny is Great.
That was a much better Manny last night than the one who was robbed blind against Floyd and Horn and paddled Broner's ass and the disinterested one who fought Algieri, Vargas, Rios and a shot Lucas. One Time would've unquestionably beaten all those inferior versions of Manny.
