    No, Thurman looked like **** in two fights in 2019 after a 2 year layoff. That's all we have to go by for 2019 Thurman. Anything else is delusion. He certainly did not shake the rust off as he got dropped pulling straight back in the first round and looked like a fish out of water until late in the fight. Thurman lost a whole bunch of timing and it's obvious that he wasn't in the gym during his layoff.

    Josesito was far worse when Thurman got him, thought to be a stepping stone.

    2019 Thurman and prime Alexander would have basically an even fight. He'd probably beat Broner from back then but get caught and put in trouble several times. Ortiz was a wildcard back then and could make it very close by taking the first six rounds, similar to the Lamont Peterson fight. I think 2019 Thurman edges him.

    Maidana would be stylistic nightmare though. Thurman currently lacks the timing, reflexes, and physicality to deal with Maidana's feints and roughhouse tactics. Thurman's power these days would not trouble Maidana either. Maidana would time his offense and ruin him against the ropes.

    He always pulls out like that. He looked great vs Pac to be honest.

    So he looked poor in his return fight and great in his next fight. What’s your point?

    You’re literally the only person making the claim that Thurman looked dogshite in that fight. Is everyone wrong and you’re right?

    Were you intoxicated last night? Thurman did not look great last night. He looked nowhere near his top form form from a few years ago. His timing was way off, just like against Josesito. If you couldn't see that, you don't know boxing.

    Fwiw I had Pacquiao winning by a point.

    THATS my point, you’re literally the only person claiming Thurman looked shite so why are you asking me if I was intoxicated. You should be asking if everyone else who watched the fight was intoxicated or were YOU intoxicated. More often than not, if you think everybody else is wrong and you’re right, it’s probably the opposite.

    That's not true. What is true is that you're just about the only person claiming Thurman looked great, which is an emotionally driven view. I just said he was at about the level of Devon Alexander so don't get it twisted. He definitely was better three years ago

    Thurman was in top form last night. Had 2 strength and conditioning coaches and the stamina that allowed him to have success in the late rounds. Pac hit him with hellacious shots and he survived.

    He did not look as strong as when he fought Porter. Stamina was decent. Power and timing were off, with timing being the deal breaker offensively and defensively.

    Not really, I can find you videos of other fighters and commentators and experts that said Thurman looked great. I haven’t found one that said Thurman looked terrible.

    In fact, why don’t you show me some?

    I’m pretty sure I can grab a handful right now.

    Well you make a claim then provide evidence.

    Let’s make a ban bet. If you can find me more fighters/media claiming Thurman looked terrible vs I can find saying Thurman looked good, then I’ll leave this forum forever. If it’s the reverse, you leave for 6 months.

    Those are good odds. If you believe what you say, call it?

    Spending time pacing through Twitter and YouTube is not how I spend my Sundays. I know more about boxing than you which is why I don’t claim that fighters who pull straight back and get dropped by nothing punches looked great.
