It's a duck when you say you want the fight, but need a year. Then you say you need a catchweight. Then you say it's at 135 or no fight. Then you say the guy will do nothing for your legacy.

Dude, Pacquiao would need only 3 rounds to dispatch of Lomachenko in brutal fashion. Pacquiao's glancing blows hurt dudes weighing 155+ on fight night, Lomachenko's not surviving a single flush shot.

 

Salido was 148 on fight night against Loma. Pacquiao was 149 on fight night against Broner. Linares was 152 on fight night against Loma. Fortuna and Bogere, both guys in Loma's division, were 151 and 152 respectively. Bigger than Pacquiao. Pacquiao should be fighting in Loma's weight class, but is competing at 147 instead.

Lomachenko is younger, taller, faster, better defensively, has better footwork, and allegedly a far superior ring IQ. Pacquiao has more power, but he'll be 41. They will be less than 10 pounds apart on fight night. If Loma is so goddamn special, he can fight a guy who will be just a pound or two heavier than Salido.

 

Very possible but Linares dwarfed Loma and Pac would eat Linares for breakfast. I'm not knocking Loma's skill by any means but Pac is just too big, too strong, fast enough to catch Loma and hits mucher harder than Loma's ever been hit.

There no shame in losing to a much bigger fighter even if you are more skilled. Pacquiao would lose to GGG but that doesn't take anything away from him.

 

Also styles make fights. Lomachenko wouldn't be at such a speed disadvantage as Thurman. He might of made Pac look every bit a 40 year old man dancing around and setting a pace Pac couldn't be expected to fight at with his movement.

Pac fans can force this fight if they want but I think it's their funeral. If he still needs money then I'd rather he KO's Khan and then calls it a day. I want him to end his career well rather than like so many other legends of the sport. I'd hate it if Spence Smith Jr.s him out of the ring head first.

 

I don't think Pacquiao can make 135 safely and be the same fighter. Not having to make weight and cut weight is the key to his longevity. Most smaller fighters burn out young because the weight cut (most don't have the talent of Pacquiao to eat up to weights and still dominate)

Wow. You're making a LOT of assumptions there. One that Pac at 40 and whatever weight he has to get down is still as effective as you think he is and that Lomachenko is not going to at least attempt to be an evasive target. Post last night there is no way he looks to trade with Pac being at a massive power disadvantage.

It's a hard fight for Pac.
