I still think Thurman UD Spence. Spence has beat OcampO, 70% Brook, & 135 pound Mikey. I still got 1time or maybe draw. Who you got?
I think Thurman's injuries and inactivity have called time on him sitting at the very top table. If Manny is matched with Spence or Crawford I think this will be be abundantly clear and lead to a sad end for a legend.
I think its possible but im not so sure anymore tbh. If Thurman stays on his toes and boxes Spence and looks to counter he can beat Spence. If he allows Spence to cut the ring off and unload to the body hes finished. Thurman really needs to start doing some crunches or something because this is like the 4th fight ive seen where hes gotten hurt badly to the body. Ive never seen that with another fighter.
Yeah, I do actually. I've always seen Thurman as a nightmare for Spence. Spence doesn't have the speed, footwork, angles and according to a few the power of Pacman. If a glass faced Brook can snag 5-6 rounds off of Spence, glass bodied Thurman can and will as well. Only he runs far more, and won't be as easy to land on, and won't soak up as much punishment.
I still would back Thurman to beat Spence, since Spence doesn’t use angles as well as PAC or have the punch volume.
This is the way I look at it. Pacman cannot be used as a measurement stick when it comes to a potential bout between Thurman and Spence. Pacman is much more craftier, faster, better footwork, and he actually knows how to create angles. Spence is just a straight forward fighter who could be outboxed it he comes in contact with the right fighter. The thing about Thurman, Thurman is not going to stay in the pocket. He is going to fight from a distance and counter. What really impressed me about Thurman, was how he was able to cut off the ring and have some success with Pacquiao. I would say 50/50 right now with it going either way, but don't be surprised if Manny doesn't beat Spence if they fight. I personally think Crawford is the most overrated out of everyone. Never in the history of sports have I seen a fighter receive so much credit for beating nobody. At least Floyd and Manny took risks.
Never thought he would always thought spence would body Thurman. Spence is much better so is Crawford who i would pick to beat Thurman. Lastly Spence showed a new wrinkle in his game he boxed beautifully against mikey.
Spence would destroy Thurman's guts. Pac hit him to the belly and my man pulled his mouth piece out to get more air. Spence is a devastating body puncher. Thurman's achillie heel is his body. Spence will attack it, no doubt.
True but Spence does not have the speed, footwork, or craftiness that Manny possesses. Let's not forget that Thurman was able to recover pretty well. Spence couldn't even put Mikey down who is naturally smaller than Thurman. You really are overrating Spence's ability.
