Hoping for this fight to get made soon. At this point right now who would you favor going into this match up? Both fought Payano and KO’d him brutally but, as we all know, beating a common opponent quicker or easier does not mean much at all.

However, in this case, I really have to pick Inoue. I think his speed will be the difference.

Hard not to pick Inoue by devastating KO at that weight. He's a tiny Japanese wrecking ball.

I would take Inoue. He has knockout power but he seems to be a better all-around and more complete fighter.

It's not going get made. Inoue is going sign with Top Rank after his World series tourny is over. Nery is already in with PBC. I'd go with Inoue though. Been in with better fighters.

Nery throws too many wide looping punches. He's tough, but he's also fairly easy to hit.

Inoue is too fast and his punches are way more precise. I don't think Nery would last more than 3 rounds against Inoue.

Nery's unfit to be Inoue's chief sparring partner, forget opponent.

Pretty much the same thing I came on to post. Inoue punches too straight and too fast, which is a terrible thing for Nery with those wide shots

Nery will be game but ultimately get eaten by the monster.

Nery is a good fighter with devastating power but Inoue is too quick, too crisp and too hard hitting for him. Plus i have never seen Inoue gas despite his fast tempo.

Inoue would paste Nery even if Nery misses 118 by 3lbs (which has a very good chance of happening).

    Bump.
Looks like we might see Inoue vs Nery after all. With Nery’s reputation with Japan and Inoue wanting to avenge Yamamaka this is a fight that could potentially create bad blood between the two.

Maybe Inoue will get his hands on Luis "Cheatah" Nery sometime in the future. But we can be sure it won't be in Japan for obvious reasons.
If it happens, Gojira +1 by KO5
