Why does Deontay Wilder and his management fear Dillian Whyte?

Wilder is definitely avoiding Whyte, why avoid a career high payday against Whyte and fight much lesser fighters, for a couple of million. The only reason that could possibly be is Wilder is avoiding him.

Wilder has his next two fights lined up already against Ortiz, who he will beat more easily this time, and Wilder knows it, and then Fury, and Fury will beat Wilder again, but more decisively this time, so I do not expect Whyte to ever get a shot at Wilder, which is a pitty because it would be a much more exciting fight than Ortiz, or Fury.

That's well said I think Fury beats Wilder & Whyte's up the creek without a paddle.

lol guys. Wilder doesn't fear Whyte. Brezeale like it or not (I didn't) was Wilder's mandatory. I heard they were legally contracted to give Brezeale the title shot. It seems like if Wilder feared losing he wouldn't be fighting Ortiz, who almost knocked him out, and Fury who lots of people thought beat him. If anything if he feared losing he would take the Whyte fight over those fights.

I like Whyte. I really do. I want to see him fight Wilder. The build up would be fun both can talk. But Whyte has been KO'ed before. Been down in 2 of his last 3 fights. When that right lands on Whyte, which it will it always finds its home, you think Whyte is going stand up to it? If it can land on Fury it's going land on any HW. Whyte has a punchers chance. But lets be real.

Fact is Wilder hates Hearn with a passion. He wants no part of working with him unless he is forced. If Whyte signed with Top Rank or especially PBC I think the fight would have already happended. Wilder being afraid to lose to Whyte is laughable.

Fury was inactive for 3 years. He had serious drug and mental health problems, and gained and then lost over 100 pounds during that time.

Wilder will avoid him now, unless Fury goes off the deep end again.

I don't think he's scared of what Whyte brings to the ring either. I also think he figures Ortiz is even older now and been KO'd by him and he doesn't really have a choice with Fury without looking like a total joke.

That fight was taken on the understanding Fury had been on the couch and Warren telling them he's just come back for some retirement money. It was a cherry pick gone wrong that has left him between a rock and a hard place considering the AJ match has lost a lot of its lustre following the Ruiz upset.

I disagree on your last part. If Ruiz beats AJ again, I think it sets up perfectly for Wilder and Fury. Wilder ditches Fury in March for a Ruiz undisputed fight. Fury and Top Rank get a few more fights to build Fury in America and squeeze out some more revenue from each other. Then Wilder fights Whyte. Then a Fury vs Wilder for undisputed does even more biz for ESPN and PBC than before. They can still have their trilogy. Then maybe AJ is back in the equation or Uysk.

I see Fury doing Miller than Pulev than if he needs another maybe Joyce in between. None of them giving him problems, maybe Miller a bit, but all quality fighters.

You have so much more faith in Wilder than I do. I think if he ever got his hands on all the belts he'd say "One face, one name" over and over again whilst vacating any titles he didn't want to face the mandatory challengers of whilst saying he was the champ and hand picking his opponents.
