Thurman fought a better prepared and focussed Pac than the one Horn scraped past.

I am being honest, I scored it for Horn on the RBR, scored it for him on two repeat viewings. Just because you're bothered by the fact that Horn beat a legend like Pacquiao doesn't change the fact that Horn beat Pacquaio. You can't rewrite reality, because it doesn't gel with how you wish reality played out. I'm sure not everyone is not comfortable with the idea that Toney debatably lost to Thadzi, that's okay though, because he rectified that by stopping Holyfield and snatching Jirov's 0. Boxing is awesome like that.

Manny was hard done by against Horn. I thought he won.
But it was far from the most controversial decision of that year.
He clearly struggled to set himself apart from Horn and was on the wrong end of close and difficult fight to score.

Manny's legs look shot in that fight. He wasnt able to consistently outmanoeuvre Jeff the way he was able to against far better fighters in the past. Subsequently he got dragged into a messy fight he spent far to much of on the ropes and to close to Horn.
Matthyse and stuck in the mud Broner weren't likely to expose this.

Manny appeared quick and in good shape against Horn. Maybe he just took him a little bit to lightly and didn't have the right sparring.

Watch post fight press conference. Pac couldn’t stop talking about thurmans power and compared it to Margarito where that fight Margo was 165lbs and he was 148-149. He was urinating blood after that fight in hospital.

    Let's be honest here, gents.
Horn lost, he never posed any serious trouble to Pac.

There's no comparison really. Thurman did a lot better.
He convincingly won the middle rounds and if it weren't for the round 1 KD and the round 10 domination of Pac, it might've been a different story.

Two things about this fight, One ,Manny looked better than I thought possible, Two Thurman looked like an inactive fighter who recently married a beautiful woman. When Thurman landed some big punches he seemed to step back and admire his work, I thought he came to box , and didn't want to get into a fight with Manny. Really, after this fight does anyone think Thurman can beat Crawford or Spence?

People always come up with these vague platitudes about Pac beating Horn, but never really break down what rounds he won. It’s just ‘Horn didn’t land clean’ ‘Horn was dirty’ ‘Pac was robbed’ etc

I watched the fight a couple of times and Pac really did nothing for like the first 4-5 rounds, so at the very least it was close on the cards.

Any fair-minded observer should then be able to give Horn some credit for basically nullifying Pac for a big chunk of the fight. Like if you really think Pac can be outworked and lose rounds to someone exhibiting no boxing skill, you’re actually just degrading Pac and the art of boxing generally.
